Benchmade Bailout 537GY-1 Aluminum. Thin Lightweight and a quite functional blade. I have tons of other knives, but this is the one I grab every day on the way out the door.

For those with the fancy photos, how about actually stating what model of knife we are looking at?

Well, that would take too much effort.
Next thing you're going to require is for sellers in the EE to actually post pics of their items.

I like Kershaw knives, especially the launch. To me, these made-in-America knives are the best bang for the buck. I am not going to use a $200+ knife for fear of loss or damage,

been buying knives for a few years, i have settled on the best for carry being the spyderdo Delica, small and light ends up carried a lot more, there are plenty that fit that same form factor

After decades of carrying a buck 110, I went smaller and lighter with the 112 for a few years. I decided even that was too heavy and was all set to get the newer 112 when I saw the Buck 661 pursuit. It's a great little edc knife, same basic size as the 112 but lighter with drop point and thumb studs.
Available in od 420hc or orange s35vn.

Been carrying this CRKT P.S.D for a while. A little bigger blade, but the thing is solid.

Just to give some context; I am a guy who carries a $500 flashlight as my EDC.

But for some reason I always come back to the CRKT M16 as my EDC knife.  I started carrying one when working in a lumber yard and still carry one to this day.  Even during business meetings.

My current one is the frame lock version

I carry a Benchmade 940-2. Bought one back in I think 2017 at SMKW. Couple years later I wanted to pick up another knife as a spare. Looked at a lot of different options. I didn't like anything more than my 940-2, so I bought the same thing.

Kershaw leek. Sleek enough I can carry my cash and car keys in my pocket. Lifetime warranty. Cheap enough I can ditch it if I get caught by a metal detectors at a venue I want to enter.

Ontario Rat is a close second just a little large for front pocket carry

Budget?
Preferences?
Any work restrictions (like blade length)?
What do you usually use a pocket knife for?

I like deep pocket clips, of course, one-hand opening. Outdoors use, I prefer a stouter folder; office work and general EDC, I like a good slicer. There's really so much variety and quality on the market, you kind of need to narrow down the above.

Yep.  Our Baptists don't like getting stabbed too deep when they're having fun.  Makes it difficult to explain on Sunday morning.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2 or Hogue Deka are my go-to EDC knives.  Reasonably priced, solid build, useful lengths, easy to one-hand, USA made, and if I damage or lose one it's not a heartbreak.

I attended my grandson's first birthday party.

At some fancy winery.

Expensive.

When the cake appeared, nobody (except me) had a knife.

Some 40 guests, and I'm the ONLY ONE with a piece of steel in his pocket.

Never expected this would be a family heirloom. But it sure did the trick.

Buck 110 lightweight with an extra pocket-clip added (clips on BOTH sides).
Gotta calll Buck to get the clip - the aftermarket clips that look similar are flimsy by comparison.

$39 at Amazon

Way easier to carry (thinner/lighter/less-"scary") than the "heavy" 110 - although the heavy is cooler

Lol

I have some nice knives.
Emerson Commander Serrated
Boker + Burnley Protech Kwaiken (the smooth aluminum scale version)
ZT350
Mini Griptilian

But I can bring myself to spend the kind of coin necessary to get one of the knives in your picture. That’s a nice handgun. Therefore, I’m a poor.

Are you saying you cut the cake with your pocket knife?

Kind of funny you say that, we just recently had our child's first bday party. At one point, I saw my dad pull out his pocket knife to cut some pieces of pizza (it was already sliced, just not good enough apparently).

I've always had an aversion to using my pocket knife with food though.

Kershaw Leek or Civivi Elementum have been in my pocket here lately.

Carried the Leek for 10+ years but wanted something with a deeper pocket clip and thicker blade.  The Elementum is ok but I wouldn’t buy it again I don’t think.

Considering a PM3 or Benchmade Bugout at some point
