But none of us wants to own an assault weapon, because we have no desire to kill policemen or go to a school or workplace to see how many victims we can accumulate before we are finally shot or take our own lives. That's why the White House and Congress must not give up on trying to reinstate a ban on assault weapons, even if it may be politically difficult. Quoted: I'd hesitate to call him a bad man, but normalizing relations with China was the beginning of the end of America. I don't think he intended to doom us, but he ultimately did. View Quote That was Tricky Dick, led by that snake Kissinger. Carter did give away the Panama Canal, which now has Chinese at both ends. Until 0bama minced onto the scene, Carter was the worst president we had. I thought 0bama would retire the trophy, but then I never thought the country would be stupid enough to put Biden in the Oval Office. Shame on me. Honestly, looking back on the '08 election, I thought 'this idiot has no chance to win'. But there he was, stinking up the Oval Office for 8 years. Idiocracy come to life. |

He ought to be. I mean, the guy is old enough to be my fourth grade school teacher and such.

I'll be the asshole. Carter is a POS traitor. He's not a "good Christian" or a good guy. I'd swerve to hit this fucker crossing the road.

Quoted: I don't believe for one second that he hated America and wanted to destroy it. Or thought he was smarter than the "serfs". Unlike pretty much every one who followed him in the office. View Quote Yeah, in many ways he was different from the America-hating Obamunist shitstains and communist cunts in the mold of Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, but confused “do-gooders” like Carter have also left a terrible toll of damage and destruction in their wake which is not deserving of praise, rather only condemnation and disparagement. |

I believe in some respects he was bitter for years about the ass kicking Reagan gave him during the 1980 election. It was a sound rejection of how he handled the countries problems.
"Reagan won the election by a landslide, taking 489 electoral votes and 50.8% of the popular vote with a margin of 9.7%. Reagan received the highest number of electoral votes ever won by a non-incumbent presidential candidate." Wikipedia Only three states went for Carter. |

This is probably some of the nicest things I've seen written about a Democrat in this site.
I mean, it's a pretty low bar, but still. I don't really have anything to say, I was born under Regan. |

IMO, he set the precedent that lead up to 9/11, then criticized the sitting president on how the US responded. I know Bush made plenty of mistakes, but Carter wasn’t one that should have been going public about them. Carter comes across as a nice guy and Christian, yet he supports the party that is consistently against Christian values. I sincerely hope he’s right with God but his political career hasn’t always lined up that way. |

He's done good things for the city of Americus and the state of Georgia with Habitat for Humanity. I was too young to really experience his politics or know anything about his term as president so other than what I've read I have no real good comment on that. On paper I don't like most of his beliefs and that's okay.

I lived in Michigan when he was president. He absolutely destroyed the economy. Probably one of the first socialist presidents good riddance
|
|
Gave away the Panama Canal, raped the American economy, fucked up the Iran situation that gave us not only the hostage crisis but a radical Islamic terror state that exists to this very day. After being ousted he continued supporting leftist causes and appointed himself ambassador to North Korea (metaphorically not literally) and got them an oil deal that suited up a brutal dictatorship. He was not a nice man, no matter how many “bible studies “ the son of a bitch lead.

Quoted: Carter was a shitty president but he honestly loved the country and did what he could for it. He helped turn the tide to end Jim Crow bigotry as a member of the New South coalition and he did everything he could for our people in Iran, including Operation Eagle Claw. He served in the Navy, worked as a farmer, and cared for folks. The biggest low point in my opinion of him is his relationship with Fidel Castro and giving away the US Panama Canal Zone. View Quote His handling of Iran is textbook of what NOT to do in an international hostage crisis of our Embassy. Carter, by his incredible incompetence, ineptitude and total lack of any fortitude against a terrorist state helped bring about the nuclear capability of Iran and uncounted number of terrorist acts. To this day Iran has not paid one iota for their actions from that state sponsored terrorist event and still views the US as weak and afraid. Obama in fact rewarded them and indirectly financed more terrorism worldwide. While Carter had redeeming qualities as a human being and divested himself of Secret Service protection years ago I will not mourn his passing. |
