I saw the Lady Lex in Mobile when my first ship was there getting converted/overhauled in '86. I think we got our money out of her. Lots of Naval Aviators learned to take off and land on her decks.

British AA cruiser:

The Dido class AA cruisers had 5.25" guns in twin turrets.  These were the same dual purpose guns mounted on the King George V class battleships.

Here's a post WW I light D class cruiser, HMS Delhi, that was refitted in the U. S. with 5"/38 cal guns in single turrets.  It was proposed to rearm all the other D class cruisers similarly, but when the U. S. entered the war, the guns were no longer available to the British.

Dutch M1911 Cutlasses were pressed into US Service. They are where we got our M1917 Navy Cutlass design from. During WWII, prior to our involvement, the Dutch East Indies ordered new Cutlasses for the KNIL (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army) just like they order the Johnson M1941 Rifles. Since They fell to the Japanese, we kept their orders and put it into service.

Here, you see a 1911 Cutlass turned into a field knife.

That Private has a 1911 Cutlass, a M1905 Bayonet, and a M1903 Springfield.
