Restore an old Dirt Bike, Quad or Three Wheeler. They’re usually beat up and cheap, will give you a ton of stuff to do...tear down, repair, parts search, repaint, re-assemble....and the best part...Ride. This one took over two years to restore.

OP you mentioned that you got a beer kit.  The ones that use all canned malt, or even worse, pre-hopped malt, are shit.

Get a couple food grade buckets and a brewers best beer kit of a style you like.

Play around with lockpicking.

Maybe build a retropie or otherwise play with a cheap computer platform.

Gun related, do some bullet casting if you don't already.

@ me as well. I wanna get into watch making.

Started making knives yesterday. Don’t have a forge so I’m using a propane burner. It takes forever and is clearly fucking me up. But this was the result of 2 hours yesterday. The burnt broken piece, the top one was the sample I used as a guide.

Still sucks but much less

Start lock-picking. It's extremely satisfying and not terribly expensive to get into.

As others have said, get into 3d printing. It's very cheap for what you can do. Next weekend I'll be going to the range to test my printed lower. If I don't come back, you know what happened

That said, I'm working on building a metal shop. A lathe and mill are in my near future... But, this won't be cheap and needs a lot of garage space.

Got a blast cabinet. I have had fun cleaning old crap around the shop and repainting if needed. Also worked great on my old rusted Snap-On punch and chisel set. They look new now!

Then the wife came up with some old yard frogs she wanted to redo. They look great after she painted them.

Got the one from Harbor Freight and did all the mods. Damn thing works great!

BTW, it is also very relaxing and satisfying to watch old stuff come alive again.   Brass and copper especially.

For general cleaning stuff, get the glass beads.  The Aluminum Oxide really cleans, but it is black and nasty.

ETA: I am thinking my next project is to take an old 22 I have, blast it, then either paint or cerakote it. I am thinking that blast look finish will look nice.

I'm not at the point yet to order a Factory Five Racing kit car.  But I hope to be there by end of 2021.

Need suggestions for some other craftsman/DIY/build-stuff-with-your-hands  hobbies.  Have already mastered porn and beating off, so don't bother suggesting them.

Models.  Big ones.

Tanks
Ships
Cars
Planes

As detailed as you like.

You can build a mini workshop engineering set up if you want.

Big ships like the Trumpeter 1/200 USS Missouri or Iowa are 54” long and can be super detailed to become incredible display pieces or even working RC.

Good therapy and a nice antidote to the normal chaos of life for a couple of hours a week.

In order to have fun I did four at a time for a little variety and the whole economy of scales thing

She's my Mail-Order Swedish Bride for many more reasons than just her exotic looks, blonde hair, and big boobs.

She knows how much I love cars, especially brutal, loud V8s with absolutely no sense of finesse or subtlety.

The trade-off is that she gets a she-shed. We have a small house, and she's tired of using our dining room table for our various arts-and-crafts.  She's very much looking forward to getting her she-shed and breaking it in with me, know-whattum-sayin'...

Leatherwork is one of those things you can learn to do rather exceptional level of quality work with a rather low investment in tooling.  Most of the improvements gained from machines are efficiency and not capability driven.

Also making my own MRE style rations. Assembling relatively shelf stable things and packaging them for enhanced stabilty in vacuum and inert gas packaging, then assembling them, with all stuff I like and might, and nothing that I don't. Steve1989 is a good place there.

Farting around with 19th century shit, like food preserving techniques and such. Sourdough, etc.

Gardening.

Suturing. Expired sutures and an AUSA field kit and a couple books is cheap and you can practice suturing on chickens before you cook them. Might come in handy someday.

I put a crystal on my walking stick in case I have to hold back any hostile dragons or I meet a wizard who needs an object of mine to endow with the powers I need for the quest in something; I'd hate to have to use an old sock.

Beating the dogs gratuitously is always cheap and fun.
