What is the purpose of this summoning ?

Beans on toast isn’t a meal, it’s just a quick snack when you can’t be arsed to cook. Needs propped Heinz beans.  Comfort food.

Well, traditional British breakfast is good, so is the  fresh caught Fish & Chips.

Beyond that you are correct.

But what are these others things worth emulating from British culture you speak of? Other than owning a Martini-Henry or Lee-Enfield, I know of none.

This was a decent effort, OP.  It could use some boiled mushrooms, though.

OP would have been better with regular baked beans. Some curry powder a few raisins, and a few tiny chunks of apple.

Nobody's going to waste bacon putting it in beans... that's an American thing.

When I was working in Australia folks here used to ask how the food was.  I'd always reply, "very British, and you notice you never see any famous British restaurants or anyone talking about going to British cook school or classes".  It's not that it's bad, it's just bland which I assume is why Indian, Malaysian, Indonesian, etc. were so popular there and in England.  Just based on my own experience working with a fair number of Brits and Aussies over the years, most I've met don't tend to like hot spicy either.

French toast?

Ohhhh no... this is quite quite different...

So you cook your bacon, proper bacon of course not that American stuff, and then you take your slice of plain white bread and fry it in the leftover bacon fat...

That would of course be what's on the plate with your traditional English breakfast not toast. Toast goes in the toast rack... Philistines everywhere!.

Proper bacon for reference.

Alternate if you're poor.

Its concentrated salty umami.. its more of a flavor enhancer.  LOTS of places use it in recipes similar to how anchovy paste and tomato paste is used.  However I do like it straight, but it is definitely its own flavor, it is good on toast as well of course.  A little goes a long way.

Completely the wrong kinds of beans there mate, that must've been pretty sickly. A bit like saying you made a French style Brie & Cranberry Baguette but using cheese whiz, raspberry jelly and a bagel.

For Marmite, true story, an American buddy of mine wanted to try it, I gave him a jar. Couple of weeks later he comes back and sez - 'man that stuff is STRONG, I ate it a week ago and can still taste it. It was brutal. How do you guys eat that stuff ?'.

I sez yeah it is, it's sort of an acquired taste, I like it though.

He sez 'no but literally, how do you eat it ? I couldn't get the tortilla chip far enough into the jar, so just spooned it out'

There are literally thousands. Sure most people don’t eat them at home these days but you will find them at top restaurants.

You go to a chain pub you get the usual boring stuff most of the time that isn’t British food.
