Just so you all have some perspective here. The kids are Bronze, the person taking the picture and the window washer on the right are all part of the same sculpture.
The only two real people are the couple on the left.  I just thought it was interesting.

They had just got done mowing the grass. I love that smell.

Cool, that's really neat.  Must be annoying having to mow around that sculpture on such a pristene green, haha!  I remember we had a tree stump in our backyard and it was so annoying because it always broke up my neat mower lines.

Well here's the rifle so far... This is with the PSA lower which fits properly.

Up close, you can see how little clearance there is between the PSA lower and the bottom of the rail.

Here are the two lowers to compare.  You can see how the Seekins has an odd shaped lug for the pivot pin and the PSA's is more even.

So a very minor difference but just enough to not allow the Seekins to mate up properly.

Nice rifle, You are right, that's close. If you had just a bit more you might have made it.

But I would say back it goes.   It's a shame though.

Reluctantly back to the grind & feeling almost like a brand new woman.

Almost froze solid when I stepped out of the house this morning, brrrrrr -3.

Walking into work from the parking lot heard birds singing/chirping, lifted my spirits that Spring is near.

Hope you all have a GREAT day Sa/oU friends!

Hugs from here

Yup.  I wanted the Seekins lower on it, but it's not the end of the world.  I'm really excited about this rifle, just trying to decide on a budget for a scope and trigger... main purpose is for long-range fun on steel gongs but will do double duty for varmints if the opportunity arises.

Exhausting day but it's all over now except for a good nights sleep.

Stopped by local Wally World after work, no more ammo limits except on .22 of course; purchased 4 boxes of 9mm just because I could.
Lost a few days with the flu, almost forgot to post pic of newest 1911 member of the family.

No girl can ever have enough pmags, unless she has 87 stock piled.

Curling up with my pups under multiple blankets & warm flannel sheets until tomorrow.

Hugs from here Sa/oU crew.

Went there last night, That black thing by the rock is a chalk board. Where you can erase and write anything you want.
This person was waiting patiently for the news crews to stop. I told him to just go and pay your respects. He sounded eastern European.
Thanked me and set his flowers down looked everything over, with tears in his eyes and left.

Sitting in DFW on the first leg of a month long trip, stateside this time.

Contemplating the next 1911 (like I need another) - I really want one of the Colt Gold Cup National Match pistols, but the wife has informed me she wants an STI Trojan. I'm inclined to get the wife what she wants for obvious reasons, but that Gold Cup you posted above is making it tough!

TGIF Sa/oU crew.  Beyond exhausted, so grateful for a quiet weekend!

Going to take a long, hot shower to get this cold out of my bones.  Star Trek movie & dinner, that is about it for my fun filled Friday night.

Hope you all have exciting weekend plans, especially those of you in the warmer states?

Hugs from here.
