I had the bronchitis so bad I was off for three weeks on short term. That's why I was on in the morning for a while. Two inhalers and a atomizer with anti biotic too. No sinus infection though. That's one rough road, get well soon.

Friday is pizza night with quality time with my daughter.
Now it's Saturday morning all the windows are open. Birds chirping, everyone sleeping in. Nothing like the neighbor two doors down loading a 10 second drag car across the street at 7am to get us all rolling today. 
I finally got a chance to get a decent picture of it. He apologised for the noise Then handed me free race tickets.
I just don't know if I can stuff enough foam ear plugs in Makenna to get her to tolerate it. 
If not it's the usual dog park trip.

Back from the show. It wasn't half bad for around here. Even some Class III dealers showed up with an array of suppressors and SBRs to fondle. Brought in a small haul, mostly AR stuff, but I finally found a K31 sling for a decent price! Also found out one of the dealers with some decent AR parts and prices is setting up shop within walking distance from me! :-)

Would love to head out to a show, nothing scheduled in this state until late April.
Still in the grasp of this vortex cold, doesn't encourage high attendance. Did add couple thousand more rounds to the stash in anticipation of Spring & Summer plinking.   Ohio, hope you feel better soon, big, warm hugs from MissB.  Lazy Saturday, haven't even bothered to get dressed. Have a nice evening Sa/oU friends & visitors.  |

So I promised my mom I'd never get a tattoo, but now that she's gone (passed away in 2011), and also my dad (passed away last week), I want to get old birthday/holiday cards they've given me, and have the "Love Mom" "Love Dad" in their handwriting tattooed over my heart.
Would it be wrong? Or would I be honoring them? I'm torn.

I have a tattoo I've been wanting. I want "Honor Thy Father and Mother" added across my left shoulder above my Harley wings.
But having Hepatitis C and chronic low platelet count (I mean REALLY low, like almost no clotting factor at all) no one will touch me. I'm a walking biohazard. Ah the rewards of my misspent youth . . .

I'm a inky, so most likely biased. Still there are many beautiful "in memory of" designs out there for you to honor your parents that you can incorporate their handwriting into the work. My advice would be give the idea some time, your raw right now. If the desire for some ink is still in your head in a few months, go for it & don't look back. Annual Mav88 transformation . . .
Barrel is a 28" MOD that I picked up used at a gunshow. Camo tape stays on the the barrel, the tape on the receiver will come off when turkey season is over. Taping the receiver is a little work, but that's where 87% of the glare comes from (it's shiny!). The synthetic stock and forearm are a non-glare matte black. One day I will get a designated hunting shotgun. But not today. |

I'll have to check that out because I just installed the trigger, and the first stage is a little gritty, which isn't a big deal but would expect better from a NM trigger. Without burning ammo to do it. Some would say a craytex bit is the way to go. But I am a believer in a incremental polishing. Besides sitting in your chair watching tv. To can get your trigger pull down to a art. Just keep that thumb in front of that hammer and do not let it get a run at you.
That hurts.

So I promised my mom I'd never get a tattoo, but now that she's gone (passed away in 2011), and also my dad (passed away last week), I want to get old birthday/holiday cards they've given me, and have the "Love Mom" "Love Dad" in their handwriting tattooed over my heart. Would it be wrong? Or would I be honoring them? I'm torn. NICE to see you girl, it's been awhile!!!
1st, condolences on the loss of your parents & recent loss of your Papa. I'm a inky, so most likely biased. Still there are many beautiful "in memory of" designs out there for you to honor your parents that you can incorporate their handwriting into the work. My advice would be give the idea some time, your raw right now. If the desire for some ink is still in your head in a few months, go for it & don't look back.
Be warned girl that ink is addictive & that 1 tattoo may just the beginning. I didn't get my first til a couple years ago. Im gonna be 40 this year and Ive got one full sleeve, half a sleeve and started on one leg. I wish Id started years ago. |

No happy dance for Monday morning here Sa/oU crew. Although, well rested, no problem crawling out of bed this morning. Never left the house until this morning since arriving home Friday night, didn't even put on a bra or get dressed.
That is what I call a awesome weekend!  Of course, work will suck the energy & life out of me in no time at all. My secretary has breast cancer, mastectomy this morning; she'll be gone at least 1 month. Praying for NO lymph node involvement. I'm stuck with the part time FSA girl & she is about as useless as a screen door on a submarine. Crossing my fingers she doesn't quit & leave us high & dry. FUCK CANCER!!!! |

Had a good weekend. Visited SIL and her husband in paradise valley. We were thinking of going up this coming weekend, but then I remembered the Bozeman gun show was this past weekend. (Less than an hours drive from their house) With the weather supposed to be turning bad this week and such a nice weather forecast for this past weekend, I was able to plant the seed that we needed to bump the visit up a week and wouldn't you know: BIL and I could get some visiting in by going to the gun show. Heck, I could even offset the trip if I sold some junk. I laid it on pretty thick.
BIL, much to my surprise and approval, wanted to know what would be a good AR to buy? After an overview Friday night, he was settled on a Colt LE6920.  I offloaded a few odds and ends while we took in the show Saturday morning, which offset travel expenses. NOT A SINGLE Colt LE6920 at the show to deal on.
Around noon we left and I told BIL that if he wanted to hit the several LGS haunts maybe they'd have a Colt to look at. Our first stop was a large national chain. As we were walking in I told BIL "Wal-Mart probably has some 6920s. We'll go there next". Of the dozens of ARs the LGS had on the rack, the clerk finally turned up a 6920. (It's because of this inventory I wouldn't expect a discount) After checking to ensure it had the correct FCG pins, and seeing it had the Rogers stock with "M4 CARBINE" roll stamp, I let the BIL know it was GTG. (2013 edition) I think the price was decent at $1,099 OTD. Lamenting not finding one at the show to haggle pricing on - suddenly I noticed a minor scratch on the upper receiver as well as a series of superficial marks along the receiver rail. Upon inquiring if there was a discount for the handling marks the clerk advised they'd grab another from the back.
Since they didn't have another I inquired about a discount once more. He said "No" and I asked if he could check to see if there was someone authorized to say "Yes". (Never accept a "no" from someone not authorized to say "Yes") Upon referral to the manager, 10 feet away, they took 5% off.
Getting a big box store to discount 5% is on par with a 10%+ discount at a gun show IMHO. Since its going to be a tool not a toy, the BIL didn't care either way. I just enjoyed him giving me the reins on the negotiating. FUCK cancer! Sorry to hear of your co-worker MissB. BIL's father was just diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer last week. AFAIK, very advanced.

Good morning Sa/oU crew!!
Pretty morning in my little corner of the country, woke up to a couple inches of snow that fell overnight.  Just a tease as to what Maine is expecting tomorrow afternoon into Thursday, a foot or more.  Sly, good to hear you had a awesome weekend! Love to go shopping @ LGS with someone informed on current prices and parts! Shame the salesperson was not of the female persuasion. With your superior intellect & suave, could easily separate a nun from her panties in no time; would have gotten BIL 15% discount.  All kidding aside, saw on the news terrible flooding in Montana not to mention the storm that is barreling across the country. PLEASE stay safe, warm & well sheltered.
