Who are their firearm consultants for these matters, surely they do have someone(s). Right? The simple answer everyone gives is move. People have jobs, family and homes they cherish there. I realize that it's easier said than done, but I don't see things changing in CA in the near term. Getting out of a gun owner's version of hell may ultimately be the only answer though. No, as far as I've been able to tell in 30+ years in this state, they really don't have experts. They rely on the CA-DOJ for that, and well...they couldn't find their assholes without a no-knock warrant on 3-other wrong address assholes first. The movie was, and still is - complicated. It's tied to the fact that my particular job classification is more specialized than most people imagine - there's only a small handful like me in the country - while simultaneously the job is sooooo cush. I've been doing it so long with so little that now I can do anything with nothing, kind of thing -- that I make it look REALLY easy. Even without that, most people in my field would actually kill to get to where I am (at least until they found the pay ain't all that), so in terms of dream jobs, there really is no lateral or upward move. I literally need to give up on my lifelong dream, and come up with a new one. I'm still working on it. I've been kicking around the idea of getting out of my current industry and into the firearm industry, but my position doesn't translate well. I'd kind of like to try and make amends for any karma damage I've caused by working for commies by finding something more American to do. Exactly what how and more to your last point - where - still remain to be seen. It's probably going to be a big move, and IDK how many big moves I have left in me, so I'm trying to choose wisely. The last time I chose was supposed to last a lifetime. It didn't. |
