One of these days I will draw a tag and hopefully be able to kill one. Next year I am going to hunt Aoudad in New Mexico, I'm told they are a bigger animal than a desert bighorn.

Also, those bighorns in Nevada were probably only waist high on me and apparently they go to that particular park to eat all the green grass late in the evening. The locals said they act like pets but were totally wild.

So therefore drop boxes are the perfect injection point for fraud.  There is really no chain of custody at all because you can't certify the provenance of the ballots in the boxes and how they got there.  That may rule out fraud by election officials, but it does not rule out fraud by criminals and Democrats (but I repeat myself) overall.

If you happen to get an optics ready XD 10mm beware the plate. Buddy loves XDs for one reason or another and got the 5" version. Plate screws were loctited and stripped real easy. Upon some research it's a real common issue.

Do miss my FALs.  First was a Springfield Armory SAR-48 Bush rifle (Imbel) and second a FN 50.61 with a new Douglas Match barrel.  Later would carry a another 50.61 in Iraq in 08'

Forgot about this picture of me training and parachuting with this FAL in New Mexico 86' with 5th SFGA.

I was a decent shot in the military.  I normally qualified expert within the first 5 shots on the 300 yard line leaving me with 20 bullets to spare (USMC KD course of fire 200, 400 and 500 yrd lines, not the 5 point system they use after 2005 or when I was in boot camp).  Before in the "field" exercise they would make us put on a gas mask and then fire.  I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from 50 ft much less anything else, this is using iron sights so not sure if a scope helps or hurts.

I think it would be nice but I just don't see it going down unless you have an electronic scope (like ATN) you could pull up on your phone to see "through the scope."  That was my experience but shit has changed and gotten better at least 5 times since I had to do something like that.

I don't know if they'll be able to muster the numbers to do a straight-up street battle with patriots, though it's less than a two hour drive from Portland so they could cause a lot of mayhem in Olympia if they decide to skip the rally in their own state.

Knowing their proclivities I'm going to be more worried next Saturday about the vicious, devious stuff they do. Like throwing unknown liquids at people and following people to their cars to attack them in isolation. There were a few guys open carrying rifles who would escort people to their cars, so it's not like we've been oblivious to the danger, but mostly it's been normal people with flags and kids and dogs, and I count myself among those normal people. Patriots wander in from all directions in ones and twos. Now it seems we're going to have to get more organized.

I'm not pretending that I have a plan. I have no idea what's going to happen next Saturday. I don't relish an escalation because a patriot's life can be destroyed in an instant, but it could be that our choices are down to either escalation or surrender.

MT FWP spend a lot of money on the bighorn sheep up here. There are some really old blood lines across the state but in some areas the entire herd dies off over the years. Kind of crazy.

I have had a couple of friends harvest them over the years. Pretty lucky if you pull a tag for them up here.

I've seriously thought about the unlimited sheep tag, the odds are not very good and the season might be over on the very first day without you ever knowing about it.

I just tried it out with my ADM NVG height mount for my MRO and with a MCU-2P it easily lets me get a view of the dot without jamming my face into the stock. Rolling the rifle a little bit inwards so the sight is closer to centerline also gives a little easier view of the dot but keeps the rifle in the shoulder. Without a mask I have a much higher cheek weld when compared to a normal 1/3 or absolute cowitness height mount anyways but that was the point in getting a mount I can use passively with my PVS 14 if I needed to.

I debate if I want another pistol caliper.  I don't enjoy pistol nearly as much as I enjoy rifle shooting, I am not nearly as good is probably the reason.  Pistol does fill a void when I can't stretch my legs though.  It also will probably be needed 87% more than anything rifle at this point, my opinion but also understand this could change significantly depending on what happens next.

I only have 9mm, my thinking was it would always be available since the Leo and Mil use this for a majority of close range firearms (note available does not mean a price I am willing to pay).  9mm seems to have dried up totally unless you staked it deep and selling it for a huge profit and then its up to timing if you can get it.  I would say part of this is because the Leo and Mil bought up all the rounds and will have first access to anything new before the public can.  Primers have up and vanished so once a company runs out of the basics to build production stops, doesn't matter what round it is.  I have 7 rifle calipers and have 3 that lasted significantly longer than the others before they ran out.

I would love to find a pistol caliper that shoots well for extended periods of time, has decent ballistics, good knockdown power and doesn't cost a fortune to shoot during normal times.  10mm is on the table but don't know how many boxes this round checks.  I would love to see where it has been tested in ballistics gel compared to our argument of 9mm vs 45.  My research on the matter is weak but at this point do not see me buying anything unless its a smoking deal because you can't get ammo and guns are not selling (what good is a paperweight that you had to sign a 4473 for?).

That would have helped me out.  I have two LaRue QD mounts on order that are higher than your standard QD mount, in the future I want to add quite toys to the end and didn't want to change everything later if my vision was obstructed due to the extra fun on the end.  Once they get here I will experiment myself but expect much worse results since I have a 6 and not a 7.  I also will have a couple RMR's side mounted so maybe I have a chance.....but probably not.

No 4473 for my 10mm (Polymer80 PF45 with a Lone Wolf 20T slide and barrel).

I'd like to do a 10mm build on an 80% 1911 doublestack frame, but I haven't started getting the tools for 80% 1911 frames, and this year has really messed with my budget.

This was taught to us during training for using with a gas mask.  I will also add this part of qualification was just an exercise they had us do to check a box, not for score.  After a week at the range most of the people wanted to go home so everything we did for the field firing was done with extreme speed.  "Shooters with your 4 mags of 30 rounds each fire on multiple targets until you have exhausted all rounds, you will have 90 seconds....targets...get all targets high in the sky."  Needless to say, practicing many things you were trained for at that time didn't happen but I took pride in my skillz but not sure what part of my training was lacking.  I just plan sucked at the gas mask section (I didn't see anyone else doing better though).  Once forgot to clean my mask after gas mask training.....I never forgot to make sure I cleaned it before rifle qual week ever again.....

ETA...phrasing (still not great but was way worse)....

What tooling does a 1911 frame need that's exotic? Shouldn't be much other than a keyway cutter?

That looks like a confession of guilt to me.

dude. no.  I'm like - the same age as Peter Steele.  TypeONeg was not an influence on me in 1975-76.
And even if I was younger, still, no.

Weapons were mainly bats and sticks, some helmets and riot gear evident. On the patriot side there was about an equal number with about 1/4 being noncombatant, but the rest quite capable and confident looking with several in plate carriers and open carrying, some with pepper spray and paintball guns and a couple of Kyles with AR15s protecting the flanks. Evidently someone fired a shot off today according to Black Rebel but no one was hit.

ETA: THERE WAS A CHINESE NATIONAL CCP MEMBER (wearing colors and pretty boldly out there) embedded with antifa. Just fyi.

I saw a report that ANTIFA put out a call on their social media for backup and more followers to rally after this happen. Not used to seeing resistance I take it.

It has been 25 years since I lived in Olympia/Lacey. Is there open carry still? Do the patriot rallies start at the Capitol? I’m two hours away but might drive up there for a Saturday. If you find a coordinating organization can you post or PM?  The more bodies we have the less likely anyone gets hurt bad.

Bonus round: perhaps ID some Antifa on I-5 heading that way and follow them in to see where they park snd rally point.
