As he mentioned back when they were first asking about hiring non Americans everything they do is highly regulated missle technology. I'd imagine setting up shop in Mexico would be tough unless you just moved the whole kit and kaboodle there. |

I wonder how much the work visas would cost for all those guys if he moved.
Are all the parts/materials/consumables for what he's done even available there or would it have to be imported to Mexico? |

It doesn’t work like that. The engines have to have their turbo pumps spun-up before the engines can fire. There is a whole start sequence.

One problem Elon Musk has that most of us don't is that he lives partly in the future.
SpaceX and Tesla have the best simulation software on the planet. Elon is neck deep in all the future planning, and the iterations that take the plan to reality. People can ask him simple question like "how much thrust does Starship have?" He's seen designs a year in the future, and he has to wade through a lot to recall the number as it is NOW. |

Yes it is a religion and they are absolutely fanatic about it. Especially the stuff that contradicts the other stuff. Whatever the most rational course of action might be. I've come to the conclusion that humanities greatest task is to spread life and consciousness within our part of the galaxy and beyond if possible.
