Wont be either of those........Wes Neighbors claims they already have a coach hired

Absolutely no surprise there.  Bama comes calling at this moment is a nice program to take over.  Pressure is gonna be intense though, short of a lot of natties

Yeah, it's always been a pressure filled job, but I think Saban and Byrne both have a hand in who gets the job, and I think they pick a good one who can handle that pressure...............Just no Deion or Dabo

Maybe Ryan day wants to head south

Maybe Alabama can get Brian Kelly for HC and he can reunite with OC Tommy Rees.

Nah.............everybody there knows none of them will be considered. Greg Byrne is smarter than that. According to some sources, the coach is already hired, and it at that clown Deion.

I think they are looking at Lanning, DeBoer and one other guy..............I'd consider Demeco Ryans as well

FWIW, I don’t think Sark gains anything leaving Texas for Bama. In fact, Bama means you have more pressure following GOAT.

OTOH, Bama gets you a different level than Oregon does.

Having said that, I don’t know what to expect.

Nobody really knows what to expect...........the one thing Sark would gain is less pressure from alumni but not much. Saban pretty much put them in their place and stopped alot of the shenanigans they were doing. The new coach will have to contend with them trying to get back in, but Byrne will also put the clamps on alot of that

As for following Saban? I don't know...........some people like that kind of challenge. From everything I hear, it points to Lanning, but we shall see. I expect the announcement in a day or two.

Less pressure to win at Bama than at Texas?

I don’t buy that at all.

Bama has 6 NATIONAL championships in the last 16 years. 9 SEC championships.

Texas has 2 conference championship appearances since 2009.

Expectations for success will continue to be higher at Bama than at Texas.

Lots of changes going on.

I was thinking about things on my morning drive.

The days leading up to a big game, because it means something, were exciting.  This was because if your school lost, then it's over.  If you won, you knocked someone out of the NC race and you survived and advanced.

Now, regular season games won't matter as much.  You could have 2-3 losses and still make the playoffs.  Not much excitement there...just like the NFL.

No player allegiance to schools. They are all free agents.  Parity will run wild.  It will be very hard to create dynasties like what Saban did.

Soon, all of the conferences will dissolve when playoffs get expanded.  There will be super conferences of 20+ teams that will serve as preliminary brackets for the final playoff system.

Bowls will go away, unless they decide to make the bowls early rounds of the playoffs.  It could work, but I think schools would prefer hosting games.

CFB will be a shell of what we have experienced over the past 50 years.

With Byrne as the AD, yeah.............like I said, alot of that was tamped down when Saban got there, and Byrne has helped maintain it..
