A republican president or majority in congress implements policies and lawa that don't have an impact until a later term, or political power switch. |

Get to thriving now, we have a utopia to install. Money is fungible. Once it's in the pot, where it goes is not discernable. They love to tout that new taxes will go to things people want. It's an old scam/trick. Even if you kept it separate and did spend it specifically on the thing you say, it just means less money from the general fund is needed for that thing, so it can be spent on slush instead, leading to the same effect. Saying where a tax's money is going is totally meaningless. |

View Quote I'd be curious to see what the last 100 days did, or the last 100 days prior to being voted out. Would it show similar movement to the incoming President's first 100 days, or would there be a dramatic shift once the new President and Congress are in office? |

When we had that big run up to 24 a few weeks ago, it started to dive as soon as the market opened the next day. I hope that doesn't happen again.

Get to thriving now, we have a utopia to install. I picked up a book called "Live Not By Lies". The title is based on Solzhenitsyn's last speech just before he was exiled to the west. It's primarily aimed at Christian dissidents. That said, there's some interesting ideas in the book that would be relevant to even the most athiestic/agnostic among us. One of the things they talk about is how similar our education system is to the Soviet era style education system. Erase the past so there's no shared cultural values, create little robots who are solely dependent on the government/state to provide for their needs. I'm sure most of it would be stuff we all know and agree on. Your post just triggered that in my brain and thought I would make mention of the book. |

That and I think its a bit of a stop loss raid. Retail folks probably saw that BH peak up to $30ish and set some stop loss limits for open that all fired at the same time since shorts had successfully run it down.

I wish I had held a little longer yesterday. I sold off 100 @ $22. Took it and put it into SENS @ $2 to get my cost down (initial buy in was $3.40).
I put in a buy for $26 for MVIS, and that has already hit. Guess I should have tried $25? (edit: ooof, down to $24 just after I posted this, massive sells going on right now). I went and canceled my $30 sell prices. Raised to $35, and go up from there. Also congrats to all the new paper millionaires here. As of right now, I am up on paper about $10,000 on MVIS (not counting what I have made on the way up, which is around $2000) |
