I only play killteam. i was top 10 in the US when the new version dropped, it helps that my local club was throwing most of the itc ranked events as covid regulations loosened.

casual play is fun & there's no shortage of players because it's a GW game, but also suffers from GW's inability to keep the game balanced.

I would say top 5 teams currently are veteran guard, harlequins, intercession, chaos legionaries, & gellerpox infected if you were going to buy some boxes. Imperial Navy Breachers are also pretty strong.

Thanks for that reply. I went ahead and burned some of my credit picking up the Into The Dark box. I've got everything assembled and am about 80% through the painting of the terrain.

Have you played using the campaign rules? They look like they hit the sweet spot I have been looking for for quite a while now. Not as insanely rules-heavy and spread from hell to breakfast as Necromunda and far more free than the campaign stuff in 1st Edition Kill Team.

They don't do well in 40K. Void shields and macro weapons have clunky rules, especially against horde armies.
