I was thinking fighter, but you can overwhelm someone with great reflexes by throwing feints. They react to every one, and it messes them up. Eventually they stop trusting their reactions.

Consequences wise a cop has to.be up there. Not just physical reaction time, but mentally process and take in tons of information then make life altering choices from it. All while knowing it will be watched more than any bad play at the big game if things don't go right.

I don't get all the guys saying fighter pilot. Nothing about that job screams top .01% reaction time. The planes aren't that quick.
I'd say NHL goalie, MLB batter or infielder, maybe F1 or MotoGP racer. Or professional boxer/fighter. |

First three I came up with were the NHL goalie, a fighter pilot and an F1 driver. What else ranks up there? Remove Fighter Pilot. They are great and all but much of what makes them great is being great at calculating complex patterns in 3D. Baseball batters should be added instead. |

The other thing about pro video gamers is they have beat a much larger prospective pool than any other profession listed. They had to be the best of a couple million people who play a game, not just the best of the small cohort of graduates or whatever that year.
Also, people that said cops have to have good reflexes have never seen a real life police officer

Outside of the obvious job descriptions already mentioned, if you think about how quickly your subconscious takes action, it’s pretty remarkable. For example, typing.
No conscious thought about every character, but your neural auto pilot is taking care of all of it. Supposedly, this is one of the reasons why humans are so smart, because of our dual thinking systems theory. |

F1 has power steering, IndyCars don't.
I'd say the reflexes of a fighter pilot are more consequential than the rest, especially those on a carrier. G-forces and spatial orientation abilities certainly exceed F1 |
