Man I’d love a G19 Gen 3 MOS. I’ve got a Gen 5 MOS and a Dagger with an RMR slide, but it doesn’t quite scratch that itch for some reason.

Thanks for the pics Combat_Diver!

@combat_diver and @joescuba
Have either of you encountered custom made dovetail mounts for the Trijicon RMR? I recently came across two bringbacks from a former action guy (no reason to doubt that they are what they are).

They resembled the docter dovetail mount on the comped 17 gen 3 rtf many pages back. My guess is they come from the pre-MOs era.

Thanks in advance!

No, but doesn't surprise me.  Guys break screws all the time or lose the mounts and have to purchase their own will deployed.

Would a dovetail mount have also been a necessary evil if the shooter wanted a full size? I haven’t seen any photos of pre-gen 5 dot ready full size guns. Thanks for the info!

FWIW….Pressburg talks about his comp’d G22 and there is a picture of its clone a few pages back. It was a 22 that had a t-1 micro in a dovetail mount with additional screws to hold it in place. He used that until I believe he switched to a t1 in a Raven Balor mount.

If I recall correctly, Chuck used an Aimpoint branded dovetail mount with extra set screws and JB weld. For his personal replica he has it mounted with a unity tactical atom prototype.

The RMR mount I found looks much like the EGW you pictured but less refined. The bluing is also turning plum.

My Glock Armorer's Course Instructor said when he was in the 10th Special Forces Group, they were issued Gen 4 G17, G19, and G26s with minus connectors.

Does anyone know if the Mk26 Mod 0 is issued with minus, dot, or plus connectors or maritine spring cups?

Should be a standard 5.5 lb connector for all models (only one NSN in armorers manual) and on the cups Gen 3 vs Gen 4 have a different NSN.  Are they maritime cups?  I don't have a Gen 4 to inspect.

Finally tracked down a USA made 19 gen 4 mos. Had the Austrian made one for the last year but OCD told me I needed to find a USA made one that wasn’t a stupid price (last one sold for $1900).

This one came with all sorts of random junk on it so I think that kept people’s eyes off of it but after stripping them we got a reasonable looking mk27.

Excuse me for not being a military guy, if by regiment you mean any soldier, then yes there are many.

Also, are DPP's correct for the mk27 at all? I hate the field of view on the RMR, love my DPP. Wondering if theyve been seen on the "mk27 Mod 2" or with SEALs.

Regiment can also mean SF.  SF Group=Ranger Battalion size wise, All seven (5 active/2 NG) SF Groups fall under the 1st Special Forces Regiment as all 3 Ranger BNs fall under the 75th Ranger Regiment.  The SF Crest is our Regimental Crest worn on beret and uniform.

Didn’t know that tbh, but yes I meant 75th ranger regiment.

Seemed they got the urgi’s later than SF, and was curious if they started using the RMRs yet.

Referring to SF as regiment must be more of an internal thing….  I had never heard it called that during my times at Bragg.  Now Ive seen 75th called regiment  and BN over the years with the Bat Boy nickname irritating some of the guys.

All depends on the content and audience.  When talking about SF as a whole with programs of records it get used ie up at Group/USASFC/USASOC/SOCOM.  Never at lower levels of manning or equipment.  Both are under the Army's Regimental system, but you are correct that its used less for SF then Rangers.

I found an oldie but it's a bit odd, it's supposed to be a ranger, but it looks like he has the Glock 22 RTF2 that was issued to CAG

Was the G22 issued to Rangers to?
