I checked both the 6.5 Creedmoor has very little play folded and locked. But the 223 has about a 1/4" of play folded and locked. So if I carry it folded I probably need a bumper button.

Would a LT111 be a good height for a Vortex Razor HD II?  Seems like 1.535 would be enough but don't want to make a mistake?

ETA:  Or would the LT104 be a better mount for the RPR?

Is anyone running a Seekins ambi safety selector in their RPR?

Does it fit better than the orginal safety on the Gen 1s?

IDK about the LT104 vs the LT111 but the LT111 works. I had my HD II in one for a while.

No, when folded as in transport/storage.

Just called Ruger, new vendor on the stock and waiting for supervisor to call me back as rep did not know what was "normal"

Mine does not move freely, but I rarely fold the stock unless I'm removing the bolt.  I don't fold it for storage as I have a drag bag.

Ruger called back and I sent it back today, said that was not supposed to move like that. Hope they get it back soon. Good news is it shoots good though!

Is there a shorter version of the MI MLok fore end? I know uber extended fore ends are "in", but it seems like unnecessary added weight for ? benefit.

I wonder if MI would make one. I saw one poster made a lightened RPR but still had the normal length rail. He had a 16" fluted barrel and used a normal AR stock.

There’s minimal weight with the extended rail, the RPR isn’t light anyways so an oz or 2 isn’t noticed.
With a can my rifle weighs 15# or something

The benefit for me is the better footprint bench shooting.

Another plus is the rifle performance is increased shooting from the bipod or from a barrier. Then when you add the weight of a can it balances better. I shot mine sitting the other day with the tall Harris and was surprised by how stable it was.

I found a deal on a RPR 308 gen2 Enhanced I couldn't pass up, they were sold out of the 6.5 Creed.

I purchased 2 boxes of Nosler 30 Caliber 175 Grain RDF HPBT for it and already have a couple kegs of Varget and LC pre loaded with military primers.

I only had enough left over from tax returns to get a SS 10X42 with Badger rings for shooting out to 800 yrds.

What Varget load is everyone finding in there RPR's with 175's and what brass did you use the load in?

I also have H4895 on hand.

No, it won’t effect your accuracy.  If you want a nice shroud, get one from Long Rifles Inc.  Mine fit way better than the factory shroud and it just looks better.

Thanks, I like the black one.

Hate the zipper sound and feeling when working the bolt. It makes my M700 feel smooth as silk but I gather its normal for the RPR.

I ordered a 50" last night for $39.99, and added enough free shipping stuff to bring shipping down to $2.something. It was just over $70 for the case, 90 rounds of IMI M855, and a Gerber knife sharpener.

If you're asking about the one I posted, it's a Plano tactical that I got from Amazon. I can't remember the length on it.
Edit: It's this one. Plano All Weather Tactical Gun Case, 42-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E2217I6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ZNeUAb7JTPY5R

Are there any benefits to the 6mm Creedmoor over the 6.5, or vice versa?  That CDNN ad looks tempting.  Ammo-wise, it seems 6 and 6.5 are essentially the same price.

Depends if you have other 6mm caliber weapons or the 6.5 if you decide to add say a Grendel or 6.5 SAUM.  So if you plan on 6.5 Creedmoor then decide on the 6.5 SAUM you will done have bullets and primers. But if you don't plan to add like caliber weapons just flip a coin.  One thing down here is the 6.5 Creedmoor is extremely popular and the 6mm Creedmoor not quite as popular yet so ammo is not selling out as fast.

The button you push on the opposite side it rotates to lock the stock when folded. It fits into a little groove.

I agree about a solid range review before purchasing.

Based on the Rex review of the Savage Model 10 FCP-SR .308 Win its pretty impressive how far budget guns have progressed in a very competitive gun market. Hopefully Ruger has followed suit.
