The colored tape was for so you can tell which weapons belonged to what platoon. For us Blue was 1st PLT, Green was 2nd and Red was 3rd. We didnt have weapons cards or anything like that like you would in your unit because it would be less of a hassle if someone lost them so this is how we made things easier when we drew weapons out every day or when we picked our weapons from a stack. Thank you. That makes sense. I kinda thought so. I saw the same thing in pictures with units in Fallujah. Is it like a duct tape or electrical tape? Some special Israeli units use it. I have seen EPD units use yellow. I have some pics someplace. |

Just ordered my Bravo Company 20" upper! Unfortunately, I am going to have to castrate my bayonet lug and permanently attach a compensator (the PWS FSC556 is excellent, so I am not too upset about this part) before it can sit on top of my Bushmaster lower.

All the furniture is bring back from my buddy who served in Ramadi.
1. upper is a cerro forge. I missed the oportunity on GB to get an FN A4 upper. 2. lower is Sabre Defense (I credit you Plinkr for helping me with that!) 3. Barrel is an 03 dated FNMI. That is why I'm looking for a TA31F ACOG. Early issue 4. Sight/Handle is Cardinal Forge 5. LPK is FN minus the FA group Thanks to all who answered my questions knowingly and unknowingly. There are better barrel configurations, etc. However I just feel wrong when I don't have an A4. Is that the one you just acquired? |

Picking up mine from the smith today! Had to get the bayo lug cut off and a compensator permanently fixed, as I live in a ban state. Will post pictures later today.

I gotta say, I'm with you 100% on this one... I still can't figure out what the A4 does particularly well that another configuration doesn't do better, but dammit, I gotta have one! Actually, there is one thing so far it's excelled at, M261 host with subsonics and suppressor, I think I've heard airsoft guns that were louder! ~Augee |

Yeah... Jojo's does great work. I've had a few things done by them, and would recommend them to anyone. |

I can't make up my mind about my RAS (seen on page 3). Sometimes I put it on when a go to the range or definitely out to the desert to shoot. Mainly for the bipod. Then, when I get home I put the plastic handguards back on. Rails are useful, but the plastics looks and feels better... to me.

Bump to keep the pics coming guys
I'm hoping to get home in the next month to put my A4 clone together. Has anyone used the Sabre A4 barrel? That's what I picked up a year or two ago for my build. I came across a post about a canted FSB, and was wondering if this was a trend. I have a factory A2 stocked LMT lower and am going to use an LMT flat top upper and carry handle I have, along with their FA BCG. I just got the KAC M5 RAS from CDNN today. Can't wait to put it together! |
|
|
Saber is fine, personally I prefer BCM. I have one Saber A4 barrel, two BCMs.
