On a lark, just unscrewed the mag catch, and when I did, a small thin spiral spring fell out - not the mag catch spring, this is just larger than the diameter of the mag catch screw and only 1 and a half or 2 coils. Is this new to the M4A1?

In the absence of a plan, move toward the sound of gunfire and kill everything.
One who lifts heavy weight, sets back down, then repeats. One who Colt's/FN's all the things. |
No, it's a much smaller guage wire, like a tiny keychain ring. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow if I have a chance.

Decided to go SOPMOD Stock on the Block II / Stukas clone.
Also pictured is the "Block III" build. Wasn't planning on it being a clone, but with the preliferation of Geissele rails in the wild, it's kinda turned in to one. Potato pic Attached File |

I'm leaning toward the EOTech G33 & EXPS3 combo for my Block II FSP build. How kosher is the EXPS3-2? I'm not sold on it completely, just curious.
Also, can I please get a Block II FSP with EOTech G33 and EXPS3 picture dump? I need more gun pron. |

Freaking cool. Very wide camo pattern compared to what we usually see. Like it!

Figured I'd post mine, spent last year while deployed gathering parts, then kind of set her aside. It's just a plain jane block 2 but as accurate I could get; pri gasbuster, cqd mounts, be Meyers flash hider, beater car stock, all Colt upper w/ socom barrel. The lower is a SOLGW w/ alg trigger. I used to have an eotech on it, then threw an aimpoint on, but I have such a severe astigmatism, the dot fucks with me. So I dunno what to do, maybe try an acog. This might be the last photo in this configuration. I picked up a geissele rail, so I'm thinking of swapping it out.

So having a dot cannot trust no good. Doctor sight is like 1st Gen mini red dot, technology, but battery does last a whole tour plus some 6-7 months I have found. SOCOM does need to adopt Trijicon RMR across the board, then guys could mount it on their rifles or their MOS cut Glocks which are standard issue now. |

Put this and a few other builds on hold while I moved and jumped back on her yesterday. Got the Upper/Lower, receiver extension, castle nut, end plate, and FSB Cerakoted in Patriot Brown. Can't wait to get this one completed! She is coming along very nicely!
