These threads have no rhyme or reason lol
Edit: we got the Block 1,1.5,2 thread which covers basically all 14.5 sopmods and mws, Block II , URGI for 14.5 &11.5, the mk12 thread, mk12 mod h, recce, etc... When probably it should just be Block 1 10.3/14.5 (can debate wether mws is included), Block II 10.3/14.5, urgi 14.5/11.5 etc |

A Block I CQBR has way more in common with a Block I M4A1 than it does a 10.3" RIS II URG. It is what it is though. |

My recently acquired 10.3" FN barrel looks to have a gas port smaller than my previous one.
The other is now assembled, but I don't remember it being smaller than the Colt gas port. The gas port looks like it might have been drilled after the barrel was finished and may be standard 14.5" M4 barrel size. I'm tempted to open it up before I assemble it. I don't have any pin gages that size, so I'm going to get a few numbered drills and check it. Is this a common build issue? |

Did the sources of Surefire 4 Prongs dry up? I know they came with some Geissele URG-I assemblies but Brownells shows them being discontinued; sorry I haven't really followed the URG-I so have no clue.

Just picked up a factory DD mk18 upper I’ve always thought mk18s looked pretty sick and my LGS had the upper in the glass display I saw it once in there and it kinda nagged at me so I went back for it $899 for a stripped upper is kinda meh but I wanted it
Took it out once so far to test and zero and what I can say so far is it’s so well gassed I had my DA Nomad on the front and barely noticed any gas to the face what so ever with Wolf steel and gold it shoots so smooth suppressed It will not be very clone correct or anything like that with a T1, Nomad, Dbal D2 and a Modlite but I’ll post some pics when I get it all slapped together I gotta say I’m a disappointed to look and find that it uses a set screw gas block but that’s what I get for just assuming it was pinned and not giving buying it much thought beyond “hey that’s super cool I want it” but apparently they were issued that way so no biggie .... does anyone know if DD uses a specific thread locker and if they dimple the barrel? |

View Quote The 10.3" barrels are now dimpled for set screws. The set screw gas block should be the Daniel Defense black stainless MK12 gas block. It is sold with military specified red Loctite 262, but the instructions recommend blue Lotite (242). |
