When I was building my first one back in 2013 the regular was unobtainium. Only ones available and in stock were the fsp’s. Nobody was buying them.

No way, that's definitely rare. I'm really curious how many of those are out there? Did you notice that before or after you got it?

Not sure how many.   I've got 2 of them.  I think I just googled the part number one day for someone and wondered why it came back as FSP.

Christmas in September. Thank you ONYX arms. (I keep hearing "Slam slam, dup duh dup, dup duh dup, let the boys be boys!")

I have a thing for prime numbers. When I ordered this, there was only one left, but 3 pictured. I actually got the one requested/was hoping for. Thanks again ONYX arms!

The inside, and the takedown pin lugs are fantastic. Lots of grime around the gastube hole, but looks hardly used. Not even much wear from the charging handle.

I also got some Colt 20 rounders, aluminum followers, for a great deal from the ee. They arrived today also. Should I swap out the followers, or keep em as is and see how they run?

Thanks. I didn't realize you were already rocking a 10 series upper.
I had 2 other 10 series I ended up, selling off. The lower lugs were clapped out.

I picked up a small round Uid from CLW, I'll clip for the sticker.

Sweet dude. Your rifle looks good.

I did just out of respect of the sellers wishes. However, it might be a little late for yours And the rest of the Onyx uppers as they were plastered all over my IG feed . Though since it's older uppers they may no longer track them.

Yup! I just never post pics of the left sides of my rifle cause I just don't find them as interesting haha. I do want to get a nice clean 14series for my 14.5 upper, though I would be happy w/ another 10. This one was practically bnib before I painted it

That is my plan too just wasn't too sure which one would be an appropriate size.

The 230s has really grown on me on CQBRs. Really balances them out IMO.

Makes sense. I didn't realize it was from a different seller. I don't think the ones from onyx fell off the truck anyhow. Aren't there legit ways of going about getting these nsw uppers?

I'd say the west coast eod with a tr21 on a vltor casv was pretty close to an early mini recce. Weren't they pre-dd ris ii contract? Regardless, a 230'ed b2 cqbr is peak cqbr.

Ya, that guy. I think I've got some other pics saved as well. When did the ris ii become widely used? I thought it was around 2008-2011ish, but I always forget.

here's an older one I did. I guess there aren't too many photos with the tr21. I thought I had a pic somewhere with a whole group of them, but they were all running the work 552.

this was the only other pic I could find.

Ive also been considering throwing a gen2 1-8x strike eagle or pst on my block 2. I know it's not as cool as a nightforce, but I thought I recall seeing some images of them in use in a few pictures.

"If you can read this, you're too close"
It says, "if you can read this, you don't need glasses." Bonus points if you know the movie referenced.

Eta-After getting my upper, I'm wondering how much it would cost to have a colt upper engraved or etched in the same way it's done at nsw. I think I'm going to look into that.

Seeing your builds makes me think that in my opinion, those are near perfect setups for use.  The T2 on a 10.3 for CQB, simple, small profile and light weight.  The Elcan on a 14.5 with 1x for CQB or 4x for out to 400-500m.  Great combo!

Way off. You'll want to send it to me so I can replace it with the "correct" parts. I don't even recognize what that is?  Is that a CMMG?

(Just kidding, very nice score. Even better if you got it completely setup the way it is. Looks like it is as issued. Can your local source get more?)

Eta- it’s not extremely correct, that appears to be an actual mk18 mod1 urg. It’s no longer clone, when it’s the real deal.

I don't have much info on where or who it came from unfortunately, it was on consignment locally. I requested contact info for the owner, but the best the shop was willing to do was take down mine, give it to the (now previous) owner, and if they wanted to contact me from there they could do so. Haven't been contacted yet.

I also believed it may have been the real deal based on how salty it is, but don't have a way to confirm. Also, the Tango Down VFG appears to be much newer than everything else, and the KAC front sight may actually be on backwards??

I only say that simply because most BUIS fold backwards in my experience, so how this one is mounted just struck me as odd

Park some form of a laser on that top rail and you run out of room to push it forward. Flip the front sight "backwards" and you gain some room and you can actually get a finger under it to deploy it.

Haven't been contacted yet.

I also believed it may have been the real deal based on how salty it is, but don't have a way to confirm. Also, the Tango Down VFG appears to be much newer than everything else, and the KAC front sight may actually be on backwards??

Is it an actual su-231a or an exps3-0 w/ the hood? The condition suggests the later. You also have a NAVSEA wmx200. It could be one of the recent shield and spear surplus uppers.
