I know they have mags in 30 rnd shape bu t do they also make a 20 round mag shape,
I like the 20 rnd shape better for prone shooting

thanks for looking

Here's the link to a recent thread about shortening the mags.  Looks very simple.

The ones in SGN are DIAS, not RDIAS.  BIG DIFFERENCE!

Always wondered about them....so is it legal to buy/own one? And can anyone but an ATF agent really sell them????

I bought a Spike's Tactical 22 upper largely due to the reviews of the various 22 uppers in this thread. Thank you!

I used my S&W MP15T lower, so other than optics, the Spikes 22 is nearly identical to the MP15T.

The paperwork that came with the upper said to use the Federal bulk pack ammo from Walmart.  I did that for the first 275 rounds and had a few stovepipe jams, and a few jams where the empty case got hung up between the front of the bolt and the nose of charging handle.  I also had a some WW Power Point - ran a mag of that thru as fast as I could cycle the trigger - no problems.  same with a mag of CCI Mini-Mags - no problem.  Tried amag of Remington Golden hollow points and had 1 stovepipe at rd 11, then finished the magazine.  My 10/22's have had a preference for the WW Powerpoint or mini-mags, and this one seems to be headed the same way.  I put about 350 rds thru the rifle that afternoon - put the dot on paper and went to town to check functining. Didn't do a real accuracy test - maybe once the snow hits and thing slow down this winter.

I have the parts to build this lower, just a matter me finding the time to assemble everything. One of the neat things about this lower is the captured rear takedown pin detent & spring. There is a hex screw that holds the spring and detent in place when the stock is removed. I also have a Quest suppressor that is just waiting for the tax stamp to come back - both were made by Tactical Innovations.

I removed the Spikes plug from the rear of the pistol and added an Ace carbine buffer tube covered in an Ace foam sleeve to keep it from having the ability to have a stock body added.  I also left out the gas tube and substituted a custom made plug in the from site gas block to keep the sound down when I'm using an AAC Pilot with it.  Really fun .22 to play with.  Next is an ambi Suregrip, ladder type rail covers, and a shiny Spikes conversion kit to replace the Ciener kit that is in it now.

I've seen alot of "sexy" guns but how do they run?
Very few posts about performance.

I have a friend who got a Spikes 10" supressed barrel and tried to run it on a full auto setup and couldn't get it to run more than about 13 rounds in either semi or auto.

Any info?

I'm very curious about a supressed .22lr setup. I don't need it to be full auto although it would be fun.

Improvised front sling mount, temporary solution until I find a good solution, I'd like to keep it where it is, but with a real mount instead of this juryrigged temp solution. Sadly it seems you'd  need a railed handguard for that.

So anyway the stats are: Spikes Tactical upper and lower, EOTech 512, Troy rear sight, Vickers padded sling. Missing, Smith Vortex Flash Hider. Gunsmith is making a thread adapter for me so I'll be able to screw on the flash hider and suppressors later.

Whoa, it got a bit long... I've ordered cav arms midlength handguards. It'll look better than carbine handguards with that barrel length (almost 20" with flashider!) and as a plus I get longer distance between front and rear sight.
