The lighting makes the graphite look much brighter than it actually is.

Mine came in an all gussied up box, i was surprised at the quality of just the box lol and the optic is graphite...Didn’t realize their were different colors...wonder what the difference is

I'm hooked - I was looking for a rail to finish my 11.5 FDE Build and ended up with a DDC, to finish this build - just waiting on my can stamp to come in:

The guys over at Reddit were hot on the ODG so I bought one as well and really really really like it, I'm going to build a 50 shades all anodized or I might have something cerakoted if I can't find the right shade. Right now I am trying to track down a Mega Upper Lower in OD, or Franklin Arms Libertas set.
The MK4 ODG just seems so much brighter than the MK16, anyone else notice that MK16's seem to be flat, but the MK4 shimmers, is it just pictures can anyone confirm the MK16's are flat?

Educated guess:

The same model (4M) is made both Berry Act compliant in Oregon by Leupold for US GOV and also Made-in-China for commercial sales.

The white box is probably not marked, because it's understood to be compliant, but I'll bet the fancy box says China.

Doesn't matter because it's still rebranded Holosun either way.

I don't see that much of a difference between mine. My MK4 is maybe a hair glossier, but not by much. I think mine both have sort of a matte finish. My MK4 is definitely more on the green side, while the MK16 is more drab, but they're pretty close. Both look a bit different from the Magpul and B5 ODG. I think either rail will go well with the Colt buffer tube.

Y’all should gather up a crowd and send a bunch of gas blocks to Black River Tactical so they can install the Micro Tune gas block inserts for you.

I’ll tell ya, the 11.5 HRT guns are real nice to shoot when they’ve been choked back a bit.

Thanks! I've had the i2 for a few years and have been very happy with it. I was a little surprised how heavy the damn thing is, though.

Yes, the B5 stock and grip are dyed. They were originally FDE, and are a solid dark green now when compared to Magpul ODG.

I just looked into the BRT gas blocks. Apparently they have a kit with drill bit and tap to do it yourself. Do the FBI guns use the standard gas block or nitride?

Also what can you tell us about the 300blk testing? Same gun different barrel?

I, too, am planning a .300 BLK FBI inspired build, the Wilson Combat barrel is the closest I could find to an 11.5", aside from getting a custom one built. I don't think the .2" of length is going to make a ton of visual difference.

Before I stumbled on the Wilson, I considered getting a longer barrel and having it cut to 11.5". PSA and Franklin Armory both offer a 12" .300 BLK barrel, although PSA was OOS the last time I checked. Green Mtn Rifle Barrels offers a 12.5" that is reasonably priced. I think I will just end up going with the Wilson after the holidays.

anyways back on topic. i'm trying to schedule some time in the machine shop to get the CHF DD 11.5" barrel dimpled and install the gas block. also gonna try and do the index pin similar to the URG-i "near clone" barrel just because.

UPS Mail Innovations SUCKS. And I can't figure Geissele's shipping patterns out. Seems to be totally random. Both of my orders were placed on Thanksgiving, the first day of the sale, and I had one delivered within three days and the other a couple weeks later. You'd think they would be WAY past getting the first day's orders out if they were shipping in chronological order, but it doesn't seem like they are.
