URGI THREAD MADE IT TO PAGE 100!!!
Went and sighted in the 10.3 URGI and love it compared to the RISII so far Used the Super 42 H2 buffer that bill sent me a while back and ran flawlessly unsupressed although it was only 60 rds. (i hate shooting rifles indoors) Gonna Take it outside sometime this week and put a few hundred through it. Attached File |

Also took a spare upper and through a fed rail on today and ran it while at the range, still like the URGI more but it will be another project in the future.

@Conner378
Any issues running that Federal rail with a 10.5 and Surefire can? Seems like it'd be a tight fit. |

Is there a PDF available anywhere for installing the G rail correctly? I'm going to pull the DD block off my UGR-I and swap for the G block that's coming with the ODG USASOC kit I bought on BF. I will then use the DD block on my 10.3 Mod1 build. Just want to make sure I do it correctly. It sounds like instructions come with the rail kits?

Here to report my 10.3 URGI + GA H3 buffer and spring + GA single stage flat trigger
Ran .223 55 grain ammo flawlessly! Wasnt allowed to shoot anything else. The indoor range I went to bans people from bringing their own, they stated green tip is damaging their target holder mounting things (hanging from the cable). Who knows... So you have to buy their own stuff there, was PMC 55 grain .233 cheap as possible. Cost me $22 for 2 x 20 round boxes didn't get to shoot much since its a ripoff. The 10.3 shot much softer than my 14.5 Colt (both using same ammo). I guess the H3 buffer helps? The colt is stock, whatever comes in 6920 lowers. H1 I think. Anyway, the group was fist-sized shooting fast, less than 1 second splits w/ the new GA single stage I was ripping it apparently. I don't have a timer, the first time being around one but my buddy said according to it that was really quick shooting. This thing was a joy. Everything about this URGI is excellent! Soft recoil impulse, no crazy fireballs or overly loud report and red dot stays right on target no matter your pace. Super smooth feeding. ps. My Eotech from that BF/CM sale came in today. I put it on backward and was troubleshooting why the bottom lights up but no visible dot. Haha! All good now, I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing backwards. First the flash hider, now I almost called customer service bc the "dot was missing" while mounted wrong. Good thing most attachments are user-friendly or I'd be screwed. |

Ok guys I currently own the 14.5" URG-I and I have a 10.3" URG-I on the way, that being said I think i MIGHT keep just one (I REALLY need a 300 blackout). I currently have a full-size surefire Rc2 en route and should get the stamp back for that in the next month or so. I also have a NF ATACR 1-8 in a DDC extended mount for either rifle. I am leaning towards keeping the short 10.3 because of the suppressor, an RC2 on the 14.5 is damn long around 20" and the RC2 on the 10.3 is definitely more ideal at about 16". That being said if you could only keep one which would it be.......whichever i decide will go down the road in favor of a 300 blackout for my other rugged surge762 suppressor.

Quick question (non-clone). If one were to go 16" on the barrel with an ops inc collar...would the AEM5 clear the rail?

Lots of data to skim through for sure.
I see some PEQ-15’s on some of these clones, is that the only system being ran on these things? |

They’re probably only allocating them for guys “on the line” in ODAs, while support personnel will continue to use older M4s. If things go well, USASOC may purchase more. This is just speculation, but they’re not supplying the whole Army, or even SOCOM, so depending on how many rails they can produce per day, they probably already filled their contract numbers and moved on to stock for civilian sale. According to the slides the current issue M4A1 has drop test movement of 4.XX moa and the URG-I is 10.XX moa. Those accuracy numbers were amazing though from what i remember (from the slides) the URG-I was coming in around 1.33 moa and the M4A1 about 3-4moa (sorry im on a work computer that doesnt allow access to facebook). I see adjustable braces marketed lately, although I thought you have to use a smooth buffer tube for a pistol brace build. I'm confused about the laws on buffer tubes for pistols. View Quote |
