I'm gonna be real pissed if I was the only one to get the order cancelled. They responded and said that they never had any barrels in stock, and that it will be end of year before they have any. Mine said processing as well, but then was cancelled later in the day.

I also got an in stock notification from the DD site and placed my order early Friday afternoon... And it was promptly canceled on Tuesday. I've been waiting on this barrel for months so I got a little irked and called DD. They claimed that they never had any in stock and due to some snafu, the website started accepting orders. Apparently they got several hundred orders before they knew what was going on. I was told no barrels till December at the earliest, possibly 2022. All of their barrels are going towards complete rifles right now.
Also, avoid RKS USA. I got an in stock notification from them 5 weeks ago on the barrel and placed an order, got a confirmation email and nothing else. They charged my card, of course. After two weeks and several emails and calls, I finally got a response from a Javier saying it would ship by the 22nd. I never got anything. I called and emailed on the 24th demanding that they refund my $. No response and after another week, still no refund. I asked DD about them and while they said they don't know the vendor or deal with him directly, it would be impossible for him to have the barrels in stock because they haven't offered them for a very long time. I hung up and immediately called my CC company and filed a dispute of the 5 week old charge. What a headache. |

glad I stumbled on a barrel/gas block assembly when I did, it was a 2020 manufacture, just ordered a rail and should be here today or tomorrow,
just need an airborne CH now, got a green one but need the DDC I was so close to jumping in for another barrel too. |

After getting several hundred orders in a couple minutes DD should crank out some of the urgi barrels quick to make some fast cash! I’ve been on multiple waitlists for one since June with 0 luck. When I emailed DD a while back they said mid October now. They are saying dec/ early next year.

They said they might be adding another hammer for barrels, but that wouldn't add production till next year. I don't know what to think. He said there wasn't much demand for midlength 14.5" barrels and then told me they had a couple hundred orders in a day for the very same barrel. I'm not sure how they define demand.
I had a Geissele "Clone" but it didn't have the right gas block, so I sold it in late 2020 and have been trying to score this barrel since early 2021. I have all of the other pieces to the puzzle just sitting here and waiting, too. 🤦🏼♂️ If you told me back in January/February that I would have a 4 prong but no barrel, I would have laughed at you. |
