I ultimately moved to the x32 and finally the x42 which don’t demand such critical head placement at higher magnification. |

Agreed, the NF 2.5-10x24 is a great optic if you understand it.
I tried it on a SCAR 17 and it's usable but at high mag I would always lose the sight picture after the shot. Moved it to my Noveske 'Mini Recce' 14.5" and it is AWESOME. It sits in a standard Geissele mount with a RMR on top in a Reptilia mount and offset KAC irons. It's a completely different optic that the Razor 1-6. |

So I took apart the Grendel to switch out the RAS to the PRI tube, and the screws are too long for the AEM5 to go inside the handguard. Did you guys get shorter screws or just grind them down?

Hopefully I can find some short screws and put it together. I mocked up the RAS with a Triarc 11.5 and NF 2.5-10. First build in the new house. I have a NX8 on the way that may go on it, or the Steiner. The NXS will probably end up on the Grendel. Attached File |

I’ve built a mini holland and looking to build a mini Mod 1. What’s the shortest length I could go with a medium ff RAS and still use my AEM5? 13.5?

NX8 came in yesterday and got around to mounting it tonight. I didn’t like the first one I had, but I think I’ve got the parallax and scope position just right this go around. Not sure if I’ll keep the RAS on this upper, or put it back on the Grendel and try to find either a BCM QRF or URX 2 for this. And for what it’s worth, it’s GSD approved.
