DAMN, Dan that's 2 strikeouts. F3s, non ruskie colt ammo.

Better just F4 that 12th model over to me for safe keeping...

I've got a few more pics from the range. I was able to shoot it out to 800m and got pretty consistent hits out to about 700. Its about a 1 minute gun, maybe a little better if I do my part. The scope is mounted a bit high, but I'm hoping to put a Mk6 on it and get a more permanent solution.

Great pics, and I appreciate the range report. That looks like an awesome range to play around on.

Nikiel, I can't remember seeing before, are you in the armory, or an end user? I saw you traded around to get the Mod H, wasn't sure what the context was. Also curious if you are getting a personal Mk6, or does the unit have them available?

Hey guys, been following the thread for a couple years now and have slowly been acquiring parts for a couple mod1's for me and the wife. She has now decided on a mod0. Not only that she wants a early mod0. So I wanted to put the feelers out and see if anyone had any gen1 or gen2 mod0 parts. I have her nib ras rail and a new in wrapper #38spr peq23 rail to put towards getting the necessary parts for her build. Also if this is against the cc or needs to be moved let me know. Thanks, and some great looking rifles and information. Cant wait to get a completed rifle in here.

Gen I and II parts are pretty tough to come by. The PRI Retro upper looks the part with some minor differences, so it isn't clone correct but certainly captures the early SPR spirit.

Now, your other option is lots of WTB ads. There are folks who have early type uppers out there, and they are mostly collector level rifles now. Some of the ones in this thread are built off Gen II parts, which aren't clone necessarily but still look almost the same. There are a rare few out there with legit Gen I uppers after PRI sold some in trade for building Mod H uppers for 5th group.

The quickest solution is to get a Retro upper from PRI. You could then explore having the FSB milled to look like an early FSB hood, or have one custom machined. Otherwise it looks pretty darn good, just needing some Arms rings and a 3.5-10 Leupold.

End user. I will be putting a personal Mk6 on it if I end up getting one. Unfortunately, we only have a couple TS-30s and the 3.5-10x from the M110s that I have on it now, and I can't source anything else. I'd like to have a FFP optic, and having a TReMoR 2 reticle would be nice.

Maybe once they all have dedicated lowers. The block 2 and the mk18 are the only ones that do at the moment.

True, but I was think along the lines of from acmcgaha's perspective, I'm sure Nikiel09 didn't have to plunk down $8100 for the range finder either(although I could be wrong and it is personally owned).

I finally nutted up and sprayed my Manfrotto tripod this evening. Previously I was using shooting sticks for hunting, and in my experience they suck and are a PITA. This tripod is carbon fiber, so with it, and a soon to be purchased LT666 mount, I'm going to bring it hunting instead.

PITA:

AWESOMEOZ: (disregard shitty spotting scope, the Mk12 will ride up top)

Re: scope mounting. Why not take the recce rail off? Looks to be plenty of room to move the scope forward in your rings so you can keep the mount on the front of the receiver and get the same eye relief.

So much better than acting like the expert and not even referencing where the info came from. I was pretty impressed with the humility and source credit.

I've already started dropping rounds in the comments for education. i sent a pm on FB to the MAC profile, but never got a reply. I'm rrying to slot in on the full review to give him the history/tech details.

  Good work.

ETA: The guy who 02Overlander tried to educate is a fucking retard.

Not sure if he made it into this thread yet, but I live very close to Blythe's/Copper Custom and just saw Tim/MAC yesterday.  Next time I see him I will try to bring this thread up with him.  We had a deep conversation about the ethics of LEO's/etc the last time we talked and I took up way too much of a busy man's time.

Lol, let him know that, if he follows his tried and true format from hist past reviews like the M9A1, this would be a knockout video. Also, As him if he ever got an email from a guy he followed up with from Facebook (me), I sent links to the Reddit post and had some added thoughts in the email, never got a reply. I know he's busy and understand if he's thinking he'll engage when the actual video is closer, but I'd recommend he hits up at least HCS and some of our Indiana members here to see about getting a Mod 1 and Mod H out there as well to show the evolution of the platform.

Oh, and let's make sure we can get some damn ARMS rings on that Mod 0. The LT mount on the PRI sleeve has my jimmies officially rustled!
