Shoutout to ADCO and Ron for helping get together on my bolt gun i mentioned earlier in the thread. looks great and was done fast. Ron provided a 5/8x24 brake that would mount the AEM5. Also finally got the first of two AEM5s in hand yesterday, with knurling, and really impressed all around. Should solve my issue of shooting an old 30 cal can on my 223 bolt and it finally completes my Mk12.
ill get pictures of the bolt once i get my glass mounted up. what finish is on the cans, is it cerakote? id like to just rattle can one in FDE so i can keep them with their respective hosts easily. Thanks to Ron and ADCO, again! |

I'm new to the world of AE cans, so I'm sure this is nothing new to you guys. I called AE today about a couple of things and spoke to Ron.
Great dude, answered all of my questions and is getting me setup with what I need. In a world of shitty gun related customer service it was pretty amazing to call, have someone answer and be able to talk to the owner. I've got a couple AE cans in the queue and I'm even more psyched. I get why you dudes speak highly of Ron. |

Been looking at getting an AEM5 and I was wondering if the "normal" collar would fit on my barrel? It's a Rainier Match 18" 5.56 barrel.

I'm kicking myself for not keeping up with this thread.
I appear to have prematurely given up hope of ever owning an M24 can, but it sounds like there was a run of them that I missed? I think I also saw in my quick read through that Ron is making another batch? How do I go about getting on the list for one? Is it direct, or through a distributor? |
|

Have sent email as well to that address……

Ron I wll resend my FFL/SOT to your [email protected] address. coming from BD Manufacturing llc. I will send a brief explanation of what I had in mind on M24 cans. see what you think.

Looking for all versions of gasbuster charging handles.

Looks like the long collar won't work with my recently acquired barrel.
Anyone have a new short collar to trade for a new long collar? |

I could trade you a short collar for a long one, sure.

Has anyone mounted an AEM5 on a socom profile barrel? Can it use the same brake/collar kit as for the mk12?
|
|
|
I have emailed Ron about M24 cans. As soon as I hear back I will start a list here for anyone interested.

If you measure from the from the edge of the brake port to the start of the taper, 2.05" is for an AEM3 or 4, and 2.5" if for an AEM5. RonA |

What length is that barrel?

Ron, not to add more work to your already crammed schedule, but I think your email may not have got the memo about pausing any retirement plans.
I’ve sent three messages in the last week and I don’t think they are making it to you I’ll volunteer my services if needed. |

I dont remember there being an option for color so I'm assuming this is the gunkote. I really wish it was the same color as the aem5 though. |
