Yours is also the first Ive really noticed the different colors in the plastic parts, between the cheek riser and rest of the buttstock. The cheek riser mags and 1/2 the larue index clips I dyed Rit brown. I was going for the tan/brown contrast. What colors of rit dye did you use? Is there a "how to" on this anywhere? Can you not do it if you started with black furniture of black Larue clips? EYA: nf9648, I don't know if you remember, but you let me shoot your scar at Kokohead. You are the reason I now have a scar, I was hooked instantly Youre lucky I cant bring it back, otherwise you would be packing up your house and moving to NFA land. I dunno what Im gonna bring back next time I visit and work on my house, I only have a couple title 1 guns left... I already thought you had some cool guns to begin with. Didn't you have an HK SL8 conversion or something similar? Did you get that to SBR that one? Your welcome to shoot my stuff if you ever get back. Was the USC/UMP conversion, wish I still had it because I wouldve form 1'ed that one too. OGC took it as a trade on another rifle a few years ago. |

Man, love the camo pattern...looks realy good, and effective! What's up with the "ace bandage" around the stock though? |

I have thought about doing that to mine. I have facial hair and don't get the greatest cheek weld on the cheek piece. Let me know how it works.

And the tape is because the stock is a piece of crap and I don't want it to break if I hit it on something or drop it. I've been hearing reports back of them cracking on some guys using them over seas, duck tape/ace bandage seems to be the simplest fix. |

Ive heard of wrapping your leg or foot in ace if you break it but just cause your stock looks like a leg not sure ace is going to fix anything. Ive hear so many bogus things about so many things I take everything with a grain of salt. |

I have never liked the "airsoft" feel of the SCAR, but it is what it is, and in the end it's just another tool. I wrapped it because with my luck and Mr Murphy's help the stock will somehow find a way to break. |

Tango Down has a replacement latch that is much more robust and supposedly fixes this slight problem. |

I guess after using a larger model for the 2 years I trained with mine and learning not to wreck my fingers on it the XPS just seems extra easy. I do have a GG&G charging handling coming for it. |

Do you own a aimpoint magnifier as well? If so, is there any difference in length and eye relief between the aimpoint and eotech magnifiers? Id like to move the XPS back a few notches but wont be able to use the aimpoint magnifier due to eye relief if I do. |

FDE models are more accurate. It's science. |

I knew about the accuracy thing with the tan models but aren't the tan models also better for high speed/low drag than the black models?
