Little more money, overall a better deal I think. Better brace, trigger and furniture.

That's the one I'm looking at. For $70 more you get all you mentioned plus a better (arguably) barrel.

It's the same barrel. The brace is better, but I have a few blades and like them. The trigger is marginally better than most milspec. But my 259.99 kit came with a milspec trigger with no creep or grit. I was impressed.

I don't think the chamber and bore are bare steel, but phosphated as well.  This means it is a typical non-chrome lined barrel

That's the way mine is.

Keep in mind these are not sub MOA precision pistols lol They are a reliable blaster that will probably be shot less than 50 yards. Most probably wont see over a few thousand rounds in their life. Phosphate is just fine for this. Especially for the price.

We are getting too spoiled. Sub 300.00 AR's and now people are bitching "it's not chrome lined", "it's not melonited"... Boo f**king hoo.... Its a sweet AR pistol for under 300 bucks.

My kit. They shoot great!

Added a $35 bushnell red dot, $10 mount, rear sight I had laying around. The PSA receiver was a freebie from back in 2014 i believe. I bought something a it came with a free blem lower.

I bought the 399 kit with SBA3 and free float 10.5

Too good to pass up

Add a 39.00 Anderson lower purchased locally a year or so ago. No shipping, no extra transfer fee.

$20 red dot from this thread

Last year I picked up a 8.5” nitride barreled kit, 9” mlok forend and a Kac can as a truck gun. Threw a FDE blade and a cheap red dot (the TruGlo version of the Romeo) on it. Awesome truck gun. I think with the sight I have about $425 in it, that’s cheaper then a Glock.Attachment Attached File

No, it means that this is an non-chromed, non-nitride treated bore. It is a bare steel bore.

This isn't the worst thing in the World. RRA barrels are unlined and many of those are holding up just fine after tens of thousands of rounds.

However, if you are asking yourself how PSA can offer this package so cheap, this is part of your answer.

I am sure this barrel will serve most people just fine. However, if you have your heart set on being "mil-spec" (chrome-lined) or having the wear resistance of Melonite/nitride treatment inside and out then this may not be the barrel you are looking for.

Add a $40 PSA lower and it's still less than $400.

Can't beat that with a stick.

Thanks OP.

That will work perfectly with one of the three $29 lowers I picked up from AIM last month.

I've been trying to resist.  I have a Centurion carbine length cutout rail that needs a home which would look great on a 10.5". The rail cost more than this entire kit!

I actually prefer the Shockwave over the SB3, I have a deep hatred of velco straps.

And this is why ARs will never be banned

They will soon be more common and available than a 10-22 or any other legacy hunting rifle.

Then we have 80% lowers and 3D printers....

You can't stop the black rifle wave!!!!

I would jump on a 13 to 14" PSA kit, I don't need it so loud.
Or is there a problem with OAL if the barrel is too long?

total length assembled?
I would want it to fit in a spare tire well.
