I come up to handle it.. and he arrives shortly after. I reiterate the policy.. he informs me he doesn't care, its my job to make him happy no matter what, he aint leaving without his cash. Long story short, it goes nowhere, we are accused of being "Klan"... its racism. So at this point, I tell him to get out. He refuses. I tell him he is now trespassing, he still refuses.. I call the cops. He really loses it.. The white man is calling his white cops, yada yada yada... he starts filming on his cell phone, and when police arrive (polite and professional) he goes on a "Ya'll here to kill another black man" type stuff (not his exact words.. but he's filming on his phone, scream at the cops, etc.. etc.. says he is in fear for his life.. etc..)

Cops get him to leave. He refuses to give them any info.. cops dont have his name, and dont bother to get his plates.. and they explain that in this political climate they wont push the situation to get his ID or anything. We only have his name and number from the appointment book.. they get this info from us. (this is important later)

Guy calls studio 10-15 minutes, informs me he is coming back to shoot everyone in the building. Tells me to call the cops, and "pray they get there before me".. plus the usual urban language.. ranting and raving.. etc..

We call cops again. Guy does not show.. 2 new cops come in about 10 minutes AFTER we called (the police dept is less than .5 miles away.. ), and again are polite, but, refuse to do anything. They ask us for his plate.. his name.. we explain they should have it, "they were just here, they escorted him to his car". They tell me that they didn't hear the threat.. and so if he doesn't show up, nothing will happen. No charges. Nothing.

I literally say "so a guy threatens to come commit a mass shooting.. 10 minutes after the other two cops just had to remove him from here... and you wont do anything". Their answer is "Nope. Call us if he comes back". I inform them that we are armed, and if the guy comes back.. we will have no choice but to assume he is here to commit a mass shooting... and act accordingly. Both cops agreed that I should certainly do that... then call them.

So now.. (long story I know)... about an hour passes.. then a guy claiming to be the head of the local city chapter of BLM calls, and informs us that BLM is the black mans police, and they are calling to speak to me as they are investigating us for our disrespecting of their member, that he is a fine young man with 2 degrees, and proceed to threaten to come destroy us if we dont immediately explain our side and "make it right".

Talk to the guy for about 30-40 minutes...  I am polite to him, but not kissing ass. I walk him thru what occurred, our policy, what solutions we offered, what the guy turned down, how he treated our staff, and his phone call promising to come murder everybody.

In essence, the phone call came very close to being extortion.. with mention of destroying our business several times, and our response being "You do what you have to, and so will we". After 30-40 minutes, he agreed that this was not what they originally thought it was, and asked if we'd be willing to give the dude back his deposit. We agreed on the condition the guy admitted that it wasn't racism but him not showing up for his appointment.

Funniest bit of conversation? BLM guy "He told us that you said something about his Mama.. why would you invoke his mama to a grow pround black man.. that just aint right.. you know that aint right". Me "I didn't invoke his mama... I asked my employee if she was his mama, because he keeps insisting she was supposed to call him and tell him he had an appointment... and then asked if she made sure he had breakfast too this morning, since he thinks she is his momma"... then "I would think a grown black man doesn't need my staff to mother him, correct?"

The Police will not help you. In our case, and after watching the events over the last year, the Police will retreat from confrontations. Even when someone openly says they are coming to commit a mass shooting, they do not care. They will leave you to it. Prepare accordingly.

Personally.. the next time I have a situation where I have to call the police, I may just tell the 911 operator that an Angry white supremacist in a red hat said he was going to commit a mass shooting with his AR15... I am willing to bet I would get the FBI, State, County and locals to show up.

BLM openly bragged on the phone that they are a radical organization that will do whatever they like to those they see at their enemy, and that they view themselves as a legitimate police / militant force, and our government and police are doing nothing to dissuade them from thinking this.  They are emboldened and feel powerful. They see themselves as a military power, and that laws are meaningless as law is for white folks. This was openly said to me. The only way to stand against that sort of intimidation, is to be willing to make a stand, protect your livelihood.. and hope your friends show up to help. Thank god we have hundreds of friends of all races and backgrounds who would show up to help.
