There was some internet research and it was determined that Chelsea Clinton was using am alias or 2 in email. View Quote The goal of a lot of this isn't to never get caught, it is to delay as long as possible or get the other person to give up before they get to it all. Except Judicial Watch doesn't give up, and Wikileaks doesn't need to wait until they peel the onion layer by layer, they get what they get all at once. |

Its fucked up when a civilian org can get better investigative response than a congressional oversight committee.

Federal employees step up defiance of Trump
Government employees are growing increasingly willing to criticize or defy the White House and President Trump’s top appointees. A handful of current and former career staffers in the Interior Department and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have openly shredded their superiors within the last several weeks, continuing a trend that has developed throughout the government over the course of Trump’s tenure in the Oval Office. The growing opposition in the executive branch comes as the White House’s legislative agenda has stalled in Congress and Trump turns to his Cabinet agencies to change course in several policy areas. It also is emanating from career staffers or political holdovers whose resistance to Trump has, at times, been rooted in deep opposition to the president’s agenda. http://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/345404-federal-employees-step-up-defiance-of-trump |

Are you really playing the "Nobody is that stupid" defense now? Irrational and corrupt people make irrational and corrupted decisions. For instance, and you might understand this better than I, imagine an internet poster who got banned from numerous other websites, all using the exact same username, all for cause (to include potential theft), and then that person still has the ego to continue on and create more accounts with the same name in other forums, all the while not comprehending that others might google search the name. Would you try the "Nobody is that stupid defense" with that person too? View Quote |

What PC do you recommend, as to specifications, for mainly an internet guy but also a guy who plays a few games (mainly statistical sports games without real heavy graphics)? Thanks for any opinions. Oh, I will ALWAYS go with a SSD upgrade, that I know for sure. |

New York Post --today
Jeff Sessions is finally on Trump’s good side Trump said in an interview that had he known Sessions would recuse himself in the Russian collusion investigation, he would never have nominated him. And in tweets, Trump called Sessions his “beleaguered AG.” Things got so tense, Sessions tendered his resignation — but it was rejected by Trump. Looks like the N-T's were right... Trump can't find anyone to be AG for him now... |

Using a pseudonym for email doesn't seem like that bad of an idea for Cabinet-level appointees. Could you imagine the spam / spear phishing attempts an email address like "[email protected]" would receive? Or the emails from some idiot GS-5 complaining about their supervisor? As long as the FOIA office is aware of it when it comes to processing FOIA requests (which is potentially the problem here) - then I don't see the big deal. YMMV. And now you're defending Loretta Lynch. YAAF |

He pointed to an article published in The Hill last February in which the Justice Department acknowledged that Lynch was using an email handle that was not her given name.
“That address was and is known to the individuals who process [Freedom of Information Act] requests; the practice, similar to using initials or numbers in an email, helps guard against security risks and prevent inundation of mailboxes,” Raben said. The aversion to an overflowing email inbox was one of the defenses offered by Holder after his use of a pseudonym was revealed last year. Holder used the alias “Lew Alcindor” — the birth name of NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar — as his email handle until he left DOJ in 2015. |

I addressed your point in my post. See red. Here let me break it down for you and the other guy with the appreciation for shitty knockoff-Giger artists: 1. Using a semi-anonymous email address for PERSEC reasons: Meh. 2. Not telling the FOIA office about the address so that FOIA requests aren't fully responsive: Bad. 3. Intentionally doing #1 and/or #2 to avoid FOIA requests (or Congressional oversight): Really bad. Make sense? Let me know when you see evidence of #3 - until then I'm sticking with Hanlon's Razor.
