One of the reasons I'm not surprised he fled. Even if he turns out to be some squeaky clean whistleblower(which is highly doubtful), he has no chance at a fair trial if he ever comes back. You also know the politicians and bureaucrats that put this plan in place were going to make sure he disappeared if he stuck around. So much bullshit all around. You also know the politicians and bureaucrats that put this plan in place were going to make sure he disappeared if he stuck around. So much bullshit all around. If he denounced his citizenship and defected to another country and longer a citizen employed by the us government would that contract be dissolved and not have to abide by the rules of said contract.
I get the IRS can get him for taxes up until he defected/ denounced citizenship Yes he did have a contact with the us govt. However he didnt release anything till after he defected/denounced citizenship. From my understanding anyway. So wouldnt he suit be a moot point? And just a show of power since they can't do anything about the book? Bring on the flames. |

Snowden did A LOT of damage to our guys in the field. Our side lost good men (our own and allies) because of how he did the data dump. He let it go with all the care and discretion of Stalin or Mao... I am all for exposing the bad. DO NOT put innocents in the line of fire to do it. Fuck Snowden. View Quote |

The agencies that lied to us for decades about violating our rights, even going so far as to lie under oath repeatedly say Snowden is a bad guy and a spy. Alleged bad guy and spy claims innocence, releases shitloads of data on spying on US citizens illegally others release corraborating data on that as well as extrajudicial killings.... Who to believe... Too bad we don't have any agencies we can believe in anymore since they have violated our sacred trust. |

We should do the extraordinary rendition thing to him and have him stand trial for treason. Followed by a firing squad or rope.

They don't always disappear. Depends on how highly placed they are. If you mean to suggest whistleblowers never disappear then I think your argument is specious but I can't prove that anymore than the NSA can credibly allege anything of anyone involved in this case. They destroyed the last shreds of credibility they once had. It's unfortunate that such talent has to go to waste spying on ones own citizens. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I think this guy is a worthless traitor, however the curious side of me wonders what was so bad that he chose to throw away his life to expose it?
Either he is a traitorous piece of shit/retarded or he felt the government was doing a disservice to its citizens. Question is did he hate his country and just chose to betray it due to hate, or did he really think it was worth sacrificing his life to expose what he did. |
