Proportions are wrong for a mid engine car. Yeah thats not real. I mean, leave it to the flatbrims at Ford to make something that godawful, but even Mustang morans should know what a mid-engine car looks like. That aint one. |

Sounds like Ford wants a platform to compete in IMSA against the 992 GT3 R and M4 GT3. I can't tell if this is mid front or mid rear. The M4 GT3 is mid front. The 911 GT3 R is mid rear.

Quoted: The Ford GT was one of the best callback cars they ever did. They still look amazing to this day IMO. View Quote Arguably the best car design of all time. Unfortunately, they only made like 4000 of them. And were super special / expensive on many of the design features resulting in a 140K car if you could get one at sticker. That’s like 225K in todays dollars. Let alone the new Gen GTs are over twice that. The corvette base price and top model mustang, challenger, Camaro prices are right around median household income. Still proportionally higher than one was for an X-ER let alone boomer coming of age, but, frankly, the base models of each are superior in many ways to the best of the previous generations. The median income of a Corvette buyer is around 200K. The 22 year single guy just out of engineering school, business school, flight school, etc. is not running out and buying one like they were 55 years ago, but around 15% of households are above that, and half the buyers make less. There are a shitload, relatively, of families where mom will drive the Lexus NX, dad drives the 4Runner, Lexus ES, or Tacoma or whatever everyday, And they have an 87K Corvette, Cayman, Boxster, E-class coupe/convertible, or whatever in the garage for fun or weekends that would just as easily have an 87K GT classic instead. |
