That man should've consulted with a competent publicist before making that rambling statement.

He didn't address what is happening and the real issue.
Trying to be purposefully deceitful. He should not have made that video and needs to get professional help to save anything of his company because that shit ain't cutting it. He must like train wrecks. |

For the life of me I can't understand why Bitchmade decided to throw that away, either by hubris or they just didn't think anyone was paying attention. View Quote They're elitist Cali turned PNW leftists. Their inability to even understand why their customers are upset proves it. He's worried about knife laws ... We aren't there yet bud but with your help we will be at a point where owning a just knife will be a concern i.e. England
What a douche |

Okay asshole- put your panties in your purse and get the fuck on the bus.

If I understand correctly, the last not-family President of BM left in 2011. Les took over for a few years, then maybe tried to hand over the reins to his kid. During this tenure, for reasons unknown, quality went down the shitter and a marketeer came and changed things up, saw if was a family forever business with no room for him to become top dog, left, and at some point Les came back in.
Not sure if that's accurate or not, but in family-forever run companies, good people leave for better growth opportunities. Status quo peeps hang around, with the biggest sycophants getting entrenched in their own departments while the boss, bosses siblings and offspring play musical manager chairs. In such an environment, criticism of the boss and any of his family is not permitted, for it is certain death to ones career. So Les realizes something is FUBAR, after his email and voicemail get bombed with irate customers, accounts and distributors. "WTH is going on?" he asks his sycophant managers. *silence* then a few meek "well gun guys are mad we cut up guns for the PD" He sends a madketing drone out to do the Lars show. Fails. Angry calls continue. At some point, somebody (board member? Advisor? Jr. Crisis Communications Consultant?) says, "You have to make a video to address this!". His team gets the assignment to write a script. Or he writes it himself. "How does this look?" the boss asks the sycophants. As always, the reply is "great!" They do the video. "How did that go?" "Great Boss!" And thus here we are. |

His video was nothing like that crazy fuck from ColdSteel, drawing, and shooting shit from 50 meters - loll
|

Well, that was a stupid response to a situation caused by stupidity.
Benchmade, you might as well call it a day. |

Going to go out on a limb and say a large portion of their customer base owns firearms. So you didn't think cutting up guns and posting pictures for your customers to see would generate this reaction?
This would be equivalent to wearing a MAGA hat through Harlem. Ok, well the outrage would be the same, but you would probably end up getting murdered in the first five minutes. |

In the video description, The last 48 hours have been busy fielding calls from our customers and speaking with media. We appreciate all those who have reached out to us seeking further information or in support of the Benchmade team. It was important for owner Les de Asis to address our community directly, and to deliver the Benchmade stance first hand. When asked specifically, Les stated, "Our recent political contributions have been in favor of state-level legislation supporting a strong manufacturing and business environment here in Oregon while protecting knife owners across the United States in the form of the Interstate Transport Act." The Interstate Transport Act would have created a federal protection for knife owners, to learn more, see comments. Thank you to our loyal customers for your continued support. We hope this brings clarity to the situation, and we look forward to serving you. The Interstate Transport Act would have created a federal protection for knife owners, allowing legal interstate travel with knives, provided the knives are transported to and from states where the law allows possession of said knives, and they are transported in locked containers. This is an act we've been trying to see into law over the last five years. While it did not pass in 2018, we hope to see it through into law when it is reintroduced this year. The left is against ALL tools for self defense including knives and pepper spray. Knife companies should be natural allies with gun manufacturers. It's just simple common sense.

Liberal state, liberal citizens, liberal politicians, liberal business owners and liberal campaign contributions to those who don’t support the 2nd Amendment.
Not hard to understand. Conservative purchaser, conservative money, 2nd Amendment supporter decides to purchase elsewhere. Not hard to understand either. Best of luck with your knife sales. Hope it works out for you. You’re dead to me. |

If only we were so accommodating to those that support us as we are willing to go after people who sell us out.
For example say >Mark Larue. he was fine and dandy until he wouldn't sell his guns to states that ban civilian ownership, and then suddenly he was being fucked with and responded in kind. Amazing coincidence. |

Way to beat around the bush dude. I want to know why you/your company donated money to politicians that want to impede on our right to keep and bear arms.

Words, words, words....but nothing said. I own one Benchmade knife, the AFO that was issued to me prior to deploying to Iraq. I was so close to buying their "Bugout" and possible a 940....suffice to say, not any more. Benchmade, Leupold, Kimber, Vortex..etc. hope your leftest pals will keep your companies afloat.

What a shame, I have a handful of their blades , nice ones too, they were purchased from various vendors. I wonder if these vendors are stuck with the inventory if the boycott really takes hold.
Great blades, dumb owners. |
