Quoted: Comparatively, yes. I like it View Quote Please forgive my tone in my prior post. Spend some time shooting K and N frames and you'll better understand weights and balances of revolvers. The 5 inch Model 27 in my avatar would be ridiculously heavy comparatively, but it's incredibly well-balanced, IMO. I feel the HB Model 10s are odd-feeling, but the 5 inch taper-barrel guns feel very good. I know that's odd. Try some target grips and see if they make you feel differently about the weight. I avoid magna grips on my guns for many reasons, one of them being that they make them feel heavier to me |

Trying something a bit different here. Today I tried this Pachmayr K-Frame grip adaptor on my Uberti Bisley in .44 WCF. It fits, and greatly improves the feel of the piece. I'm able to get a firing grip much more easily and quickly. I'll get a chance to shoot it on Sunday.

Picked up a new toy today, a 1950s-vintage High Standard Sentinel in .22 LR with nickel finish and a 3" barrel. Here it is will my S&W Model 18-3 .22 K-Frame.
Attached File It appears to have been barely used and spent the past 60 years in a drawer. The HS is much lighter than the K-Frame, because it has an aluminum frame. The cylinder holds 9 rounds. The SA pull is quite nice. The DA pull is heavy but very smooth. It should be a fun plinker. |
