It's like I'll never get these two Civets I ordered.  1st my email w/ my FIL's FFL went to their spam folder, then UPS repeatedly tried to deliver em outside his business hours (he's a former B-36 mechanic), now the roads are iced over & neither he nor I can get to his shop for me to pick em up.

I feel your pain.  But it does give you more time to browse WalletRaper.com.

Not I. It's too depressing, lol. I need to save up some more discretionary funds before I can shop more. Pre-lock 686 is next up on the list, and I have a sinking feeling it's going to be a painful purchase.

Same here, I'm on the hunt for a clean 4" 686. The thing is, I was looking for a 686 when I found the 2.5" 66 and when I found the 10-6. I would have been money ahead to just hit buy now.

Quoted:  no, but I have three weeks worth of auctions in my watch list.

I've decided that in order to research what I like, I'll take two weeks worth of "ended" auctions and average the prices.  this has been fairly accurate to predict what a revolver will go for.

but it hasn't worked for Smith model 15's or K-38's.  I've seen them as low as $280 and as high as $700 for comparable condition.  I must be missing something.

Check the categories.  The amount of guns listed on WalletRaper.com in the wrong categories, wrong caliber, no caliber, wrong model name, etc is staggering.  It's really annoying that GunBroker allows 5 different ways to define 9x19mm.

I agree. It's that nice midsize. The 3" barrel just looks and feels right. I've handled the 2" version and it was just off to me.

Similarly, I've handled the Kimber K6S 2" and 3" version and the 2" feels right in that gun while the 3" just doesn't seem right to me.

The idea has merit, but this guy is REALLY nice, and very recently widowed. I don't know what all he has going on in his personal life right now, so I don't want to be a bother. I'll give it at least until next Monday and then shoot him a text if I haven't heard anything.

My new 65-5 is a RB so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the grips. I wanted the SB checkered VZs.

Trigger is great on it. Action is good too. Very happy for $450.

Same story here. Gun I received is definitely not the one pictured on the website (this one is stamped SCIG 11 on the side plate, whatever that is), but I'm still pleased for the price.

@03RN

Well, I might be concerned about nothing, but I was one told that to test the hand you cock the gun very slowly or lie a finger on the side of the cylinder while cocking the hammer, then see if the cylinder moves rotationally, or touch the cylinder and see if you hear a click. If I cock the hammer slowly, I can touch the cylinder and hear the click of the cylinder stop popping into place.

It doesn't happen if you cock the hammer quickly or if you pull the trigger but release it before the hammer falls, so I'm sure it'd be fine while actually shooting, but to me it seems like the hand is showing early signs of excessive wear? Think I'm on the right track?

Kinda hard for me to diagnose. Is it every chamber? If not you could peen the ratchet where needed.

Also could be a gummed up cylinder stop or worn cylinder stop spring
