Quoted: For me, Jacob's Ladder. I really think I felt almost suicidal when it finished. It put the hook in me like nothing ever will again. Lots of heavy thoughts about religion, afterlife, etc. I'm not going to give away spoilers, but if you haven't seen it, see it. It's for me a movie I love to hate in a way. Honorable mention goes to The Road. I was prepared however as I had just read the book, which is even worse. List yours if you will. View Quote I have a couple: Cube; that movie was just messed up. Winters bone; horrible glimpse into what reality is in some places. |

Can’t remember the name of it. British film
Premise was a couple that kidnapped teens kept the around as slaves then Killed them when they got bored. Movie stared showing the fat old father in a room filled with horror fucking a human heart. He places the heart On a table where the camera closes up and you see spoof dribbling out. That kind of gives you an idea. Ends when the last girl they kidnapped after being raped and tortured for a while decides to act when her ‘brother disappears She kills both the people after an arduous fight to find her ‘brother’ pinned to the living room wall still alive with all limbs cut off and torso mutilated |

Not the most messed up movie but it’s good and worth the watch
Anyone seen it? https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1189073/ |

Valhalla Rising, is the first to come to mind. The SO refuses to let me watch it if she is in the room.

I love weird fucked up movies. I use Eraserhead as my litmus for weird films. Someone says; "Hey watch this weird movie." I say; "Is it Eraserhead fucked up?" Antichrist, Ichi the Killer, Naked Lunch, BLAME!, are all fucked on various levels.

Quoted: The French film High Tension was pretty whack-a-doodle and disturbing. Great ending but yeah...it's a dozy. I couldn't even open up my sealed DVD of Ichi The Killer. That's another depraved film, from what I understand. Chris View Quote You would not be wrong. Ichi was going to be my choice. Helldriver is a very close 2nd. "We're treated to people lap dancing on spinal columns, alien starfish, a scene straight out of Power Rangers featuring zombies using their newborn (umbilical cord an all) as projectiles, an eight armed zombie that sounds like the putty patrol, a zombie seemingly made of weapons fighting an armored car made of zombies, a fight sequence on top of a rocket propelled airplane made of zombies, zombies playing the accordion, zombies getting anally jousted with a chainsaw sword, the title sequence appearing after the hour mark, overall hilarious dialog and much, much more." If you ever find a woman who can watch Bloodsucking Freaks with you, and sticks around, you've got a keeper. "Blood Sucking Freaks is often considered an exploitation classic, and is one of the select few Troma films to receive a reputation anything like that. It's not hard to see why this film is so well revered among fans of wayward cinema - the gore is disgusting, the torture scenes are extended and make for highly unpleasant viewing and there's an extremely misogynistic tone running throughout the film; something that is very popular with many fans of this sort of cinema." There's a VERY NSFW trailer on IMDB.com. I won't link to it, as it contains nudity and torture. |

The Exorcist
Saw it in theater at about 18 years old . No one said a word when the place emptied out and me and my date spoke very little on the way home. Was tough to get laid that night. |

But horribly sad and depressing. For the list, another McCarthy film: Child of God. |

Didn’t see this one on here.
I spit on your grave (1978). The remake isn’t the same. |

Quoted: The original The Fog scared the shit out of me when I was young. Communion messed me up when it was new. I have s recurring nightmare if fucking aliens grabbing me. As did Prince of Darkness. The whole Satan in a jar thing was a mind fuck. I don’t watch the modern horror movies, think most of them are either needlessly sadistic, of just plain stupid. One daughter went to see ‘The Black Phone’ tonight. I’ve never heard of it, have no idea what its about, but am pretty sure it was stupid. Almost all modern movies are… View Quote The Black Phone wasn’t too bad. I watched it with my 13yr old a couple days ago and it wasn’t too explicit or gory. Somewhat clever, compared to most modern stuff. |

Audition. It's a 1999 Japanese horror flick that is some twisted shit.

For me, it was The Road. It was SO bleak and dark. It just left me feeling depressed. Holy shit, it was depressing.

i dont think this is mentioned above and i suppose its because many of you havent seen. if any part of you doesnt already hate people, this movie will take care of it.

Nude Nuns With Big Guns. Can't believe I watched the whole thing.

The Mist. Its peak optimism starts at below sea level and takes a sharp downhill cliff from there, whereupon the ending pretty much leaves you in a depressive black hole.
Even more surprising, its a stephen king franchise where his book actually ended on a more positive note. |
