  LOL.

That.

Have you priced a RMR lately?

This is Trijicon. We're probably looking at MSRP - $1800

sadly, this.  MSRP will be 1000 at the cheapest end.  Street price 750.  Dealer advertised price 849

but would you RUN it?  You have to RUN something like that on the rifle that you RUN.

If prices are low enough, I'd be interested in one to put on my (sometime in the hopefully not too distant future) AK SBR or something like that. But I expect that you'll pay $300 or so for the optic and another $700 for the "Trijicon" stamped on the side of it.

So question, where does one mount mini optics on the upper? I always see them mid way down, wouldn't it be better closer to the eye? Wouldn't bringing it close to your face increase perceived FOV?

If MSRP does turn out to be $500, Aimpoint just lost the market in that size class.

25mm is an improvement, but still puts it in the same class as the old RX01.

Offer a 42mm version like the RX30, and I'd be a lot more interested.

I read that the MSRP was going to be right around $500 but would likely be found for the mid $400's once they have been on the market for a little while. If true, I'll give one a try.

That seems ridiculously cheap for a Trijicon product. IIRC even their 1.5x ACOGs are around 1K.

That doesn't help, if you're too far off-axis for the dot to be visible.

The whole point of having a larger objective is that it makes the dot visible over a wider range of viewing angles - and thus improves your chances of quickly finding it.

I wish more manufacturers would use green dots/reticles, but green diodes are less efficient and likely more expensive than the equivalent red diodes.

My Vortex Strikefire II isn't bad, it's just 4MOA instead of 2MOA.  If they made a green Sparc, I'd buy a few of them.

Tritium is expensive.

Really, it's the licensing, regulation, storage, EPA requirements, army of lawyers and second army of security.

Very little actual tritium is needed for an ACOG. Solely by the value of the tritium itself, it has to be less than $25.

Their 1.5X ACOGs have the same number of parts, lenses of optical glass, prisms, ect as their higher magnification optics. This is much simpler. So, common sense says they should be cheaper, but if Aimpoint can charge 700 bucks for a T1, I don't see Trijicon undercutting Aimpoint that much price wise, if they don't have to.

Yeah. I love the reticle on my TA31H-G. Trijicon seems to have green reticles on some of their reflex and dual illum rmr models, nut I've heard some of those have issues qith washout.

I notice in all the pics they show the large front objective but not one pic shows the smaller rear lens.

Anyways - I'll let others beta test.  At best it's as good as an aimpoint but without the decades of use and street cred.  They need to price it under the Aimpoints to get a foothold.

Trijicon has hit it out of the park (ACOGs) but they have also had some less successful offerings as well (tripower, SRS).

I've never dealt with them but I also understand trijicon has "meh" customer service when it comes to civilian sales these days.
