The Fox coverage is way better than ABC's coverage. Fox isn't all hung up on the radio chatter and they don't have half the screen full of crawls. If I wanted to know college basketball scores I'd look them up on my phone.

I'm watching the Houston / LA game. I like it so far. I like the way the kickoffs work.

I enjoyed the game. No teams in my area but I still watched it. Entertaining right up to the end.

Thanks OP, I'm really enjoying this. Love the kickoffs. What a way to keep it as a legit part of the game without the concussion risk. And the was too fucking stupid to think of this and just basically did away with them.

This the same XFL that failed miserably 20 years ago? View Quote |

Same, but different. Instead of just trying to copy the NFL with a hyped up WWF BODY SLAMS MIGHT OCCUR, they actually sat down and figured out the current problems with the NFL's football, and appear to have come up with solid solutions. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It reminds me a lot of the NFL growing up in the 80's and early 90's. A lot more action, quicker pace, and big hits.
Its soo refreshing seeing a QB get whacked and no flag. And hearing the players being interviewed saying they are happy to be there for the love of the game is really cool. Also damn This game is crazy good soo far!!! Some insane plays by the Houston QB |

I said I didn't care about it. I said I wouldn't watch it.
I am, and it's great! Vince saved football! |

LA's QB is a mouthy punk. He's blaming everyone else for everything that goes wrong. Yet he's made a number of terrible throws and questionable decisions.
He's like a less skilled Peyton Manning lol. |

I walked in at the start of the second half and it was like I was watching an NFL game, in terms of the announcers, audio, and camera angles. Fox coverage is great.
I thought I read that some players (QB for example) were getting paid close to NFL minimum (500k) although most are far below that. |

So far, I see a lot of humble guys that the NFL and others threw away just having fun playing football.

This league is a lot of fun. I’m loving the new extra point rules.

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching these games. I'll definitely watch the games on TV tomorrow too.

LOVED arena football
No sidelines when I went to the Columbus games. Many times players ended up in bleachers, in one case the Michigan played got beat on by Ohio fans. |

The season's only like 10 weeks long though. If it went year round that would run out to about 230k a year, plus bonuses. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

That hit on the Wildcat’s receiver along his own sideline, was brutal - he literally couldn’t stand after trying to get up. That’s going to be one serious concussion, if not a season ending injury.

I just looked at the XFL website. I think the Team 9 idea is pretty cool.
It would be cool if they actually became a team for another city. Guys could say, "I was former Team 9." |
