Yeah, I need to unwind. Stressful day was stressful and I'm not getting less stressed

I won't start unstressing until I am totally caught up from next week.

So sometime in August I should be GTG

Faxed.

I was only a 1lb steak because I was trying to be healthy and defrosted a pack that I thought was two 8oz steaks but turned out to be one, so instead of cutting it in half I defrosted another steak for the wife

Was a good day.

Breakfast: Bacon Spam hash (using up leftover baked potatoes and fried onions and peppers).

Dinner: 1lb NY Strip steak in a spicy marinade (worcestershire, tabasco, chili powder, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper) with baked potatoes wedges and boston baked beans cooked with thick slices of smoked bacon ends.

Now: A change from drinking my whiskey straight, having a maple bacon old fashioned.

Yeah, I'm going to have to have you send me all that for research purposes.

Figure out some little change that will shake things up and make your day less stressed, even if it just a minor change in your routine.

Victoria is in camp 4 hours a day this week, it's actually more work for me with the 30 minutes it takes to get her there and another 30 to pick her up but I use the three hours in between I get without any interruptions to get a ton of shit done.

It has everything to do with having too much work to do this time of year to take a vacation.

Got a scope mount in, I like it so far. Hopefully it returns to zero because getting the top cover re-installed with that mount on is a PITA. Would be a lot easier to take the scope off.

Although....how often does an AK need cleaned?

You said you’re on vaca next week?

Yep

If it was this week or the week after it wouldn't be so bad. But next week just happens to be the week I am the busiest during the month. I have to make sure all of the invoices for the jobs we did in June are in the system, and then job cost every job so the sales guys can get paid.

I have to have all of that done by Monday morning so the next step in the process can be done.

SO I have to come home early and try and get all that done on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The wife thinks it will be no big deal.

Just to give you an idea of the workload.

We took Friday the 3rd off. On Monday, i was processing invoices until 3:30pm.

And that was just from ONE day off.

I hear you.

We finally booked a vacation on Cape Cod, it was going to be a week away (close to home), just us and the kids, private beach and boat dock on a river inlet.......

As of last night my wife has invited her sister and her two kids to visit and two neighbors, their husbands, and 4 kids and planning to stay nearby and hangout with us.

If that many people get added to our vacation I'm just going to say fuck it and drive home for some peace and quiet.

Oh, and did I mention this is the wife's family reunion for the year, and that's why it's scheduled when it is?

Just easier to make peace with the idea that you did all that you could for the day.

Felt like you could have done better? Do just a little more tomorrow.

Stressing over what can't get done or didn't get done will kill you. And nothing more gets done
