Tua with 3 concussions in 3 months.
Can anyone recall any documented cases of that happening to an NFL QB before? |

Quoted: Kinda crazy they're moving on so quickly. I mean I get riding the hot hand during one of your best seasons of the last decade, but it's doubtful that White is a true QB1 and benching Wilson at this point might mean he never develops into the QB you wanted to draft. It might help also, so it's hard to guage, but I think it's still kind of surprising. View Quote OTOH they're two wins from probably making the playoffs. White/Flacco is the best path to that. It's not like they're cutting wilson. He still either gets another chance next camp and/or becomes trade fodder. |

Tua is in concussion protocol. Quite a discussion on Monday night countdown.

Double extra conspiracy theory:
McDaniel knows that Tua is not the long term superstar the media wants him to be. Therefore he really doesn't care if he uses him up in one year or fifteen. Lots of qbs could succeed in that offense. |

Twitter Video View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: He needs to learn to fall on his face to avoid that whiplash effect from falling on his back. He got two taps to the head from the linebacker but they didn’t look significant. That picture of his face though. Attached File |

The thing is it can take months to heal the injury from a concussion properly. Keeping star players out for 2 months because their head bounced off the turf would impact the bottom line around the league.
The concussion protocol is somewhere in the middle when it comes to safety and ignores that head injuries in football are common and dangerous. Passing the protocol does not mean the injury is healed. Tua needs to sit out the rest of the year before he suffers disabling permanent brain damage and this offseason the NFL really needs to come up with something better. Even with spotters and independent doctors on the sidelines we've seen several incidents lately that point to this system not working. This is still WILD to me someone can stumble around looking drunk as a skunk after a play and the whole system besides one guy failed him Nelson Agholor Saves Teammate After Missed Head Injury |

Been awhile since I’ve been on Arfcom and in this discussion specifically. This is the worst season in Denver history. Is it plausible that they turn it around next year? Yes. I think injuries played a huge part in the inconsistency week to week, but that’s truly what doomed the team. Inconsistency and lack of accountability by the coaching staff. Stupid situational mistakes early in the season, and they let Melvin Gordon stay on the roster for far too long. The last few weeks, you could see some improvement by Wilson, particularly the 2nd half of the KC game, then he gets knocked the fuck out. You could see Hack/Kubiak scheming people open throughout the game. Jeudy is open on nearly every play. A game like yesterday gets a lot of people fired/not extended. I’m going to keep the slight modicum of faith I have in the front office, but it’s become clear that the whole “lure Rodgers with Hack” ploy didn’t work and they made the pivot to Russ. Then the ownership said “pay this guy before the media money pushes the cap into the stratosphere”. I don’t think we’re as fucked as others in the fan base because we have a lot of good players on IR and the defense has still been excellent. Russ gets another year and if that fails, then we’re tanking for Arch Manning. |

Nice to see Moss running hard. Good trade for both teams.

I actually have an indoor rifle match to shoot at 6 and finish before the game. Thankfully the game is 8:30 in the real world. The Bills road to the superbowl seems to require a win in cincy. If they lose this one chances are they have to go back in the divisional round. |

Speaking of a pattern of cheap shots: I can't recall seeing a starting QB dish out more cheap shots and attempted cheap shots in his first two seasons in the NFL than Mac Jones. To make it even worse he makes up absurd excuses for his actions that no one outside of extremely gullible people and Pats homers are going to believe. |
