Just went to the local pub for breakfast and then walked to the market for a beer run. Everyone here is in IDGAF mode. Shorts and sandals with a shell on. Feels like an average Sunday in Florida. It’s a nothing burger in this section of SoCal. The media coverage is hilarious though.

On and off heavy rain in the South Bay. I just got a 50 gallon rain barrel for the back of my house and it was overflowing by 9:30-10am. Street gutters are full almost to mid street. Gotta drive around and spray wash the bottom of my Jeep.

More heavy rain to come tonight.

Lucy Jones is now on the news.  She is a STAPLE with California and Quakes!

5% chance this is a forshock to something bigger, and 96% chance this is the biggest and we will see smaller aftershocks.

ETA and now a 4.0....

Yep, didn't feel thing. I am pretty close to L.A. A 5.0 quake is not all that significant, now when you get into the high-5s or 6s, then you are talking.

I felt it some but not too much.  Was typing on another forum and felt the chair move some.  Didn't check at the time.  Not much rain so far and no wind that I've noticed.  Kind of where Orange, Riverside, L.A. and San Bernardino counties come together.

Suddenly it has become quite dark here in northern San Diego. Raining a little harder now. Still not as bad as the worst El Niño we’ve had.
Edit: okay now it’s coming down very hard.

I was parking my truck when the alert went out on my phone, which is probably why I didn't feel it.  Didn't feel any aftershocks, either.  I would not have known there was an earthquake.  I'm in the San Gabriel foothills.

Isn't there quite a potential for flooding? It makes sense to me, and I'm not a fan of Newsom.

No less than a hard rain here or a couple days of rain.

This whole thing is being hyped, throw in a earthquake for added effect.
