If someone was that serious why not just shave your head, win, and let it grow back later?

Well shit, better take a knee in protest, then. About halfway across the pool.

Quoted: You don't see that many, for whatever reason. I mean, in the cities pools are free, like basketball courts. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Are there really that many black swimmers though? You don't see that many, for whatever reason. I mean, in the cities pools are free, like basketball courts. In Baltimore, most of the outdoor pools are 3' deep. The public indoor pools are 5-10' deep, since most of them are used for swim teams. Nobody goes there for the free swim days when it's 90+ degrees out, because any family with a gym membership swims at the gym instead. Kharn |

Quoted: I thought it was because sailors all over the world were obsessed with dicks. Learn something new everyday View Quote It’s because of science, yo. Hydrodynamic efficiency - a large protruding bulb off the swimmer’s head. Some would consider it cheating, but hey - it’s the Democrat way. Now on the other hand- what about dicks? Is there something you want to tell the group? |

Quoted: We should all imagine looking over a hedgerow in WW2 and having to call for permission to take the cover off your scope before you can call to get permission to pull a mag out of your gear before you you can call to load the weapon,,,all the while looking at an MG42 that has zero ROE. This, IMHO, is where our country is. View Quote That is exactly the standing orders we had, we couldn't load a magazine or chamber a round without approval from NORDIC BN HQ. We had a Platoon Meeting soon after arrival, we decided we would do what we had to do then worry about the consequences later, if we lived. |

Quoted: Womens beach volleyball because... womens. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Pro level indoor men's volleyball is fucking hardcore. The way some of these guys jump, some of them serve as fast as a baseball pitcher,... Most of the Euros are probably wusses but they can play. Womens beach volleyball because... womens. I've been involved in both (as well as higher level basketball*), average athletic guys stomp really fit girls. There's a ton+ of wonderful women volleyball players who are both great players and great ambassadors of the sport. *If you have tall kids you think would be a natural at basketball, don't. B-ball culture is garbage, get your tall kids in volleyball instead. ?? |

Quoted: I find it interesting that "afro hair" doesn't fit under normal caps. They make caps of different sizes already. It's not like having a lot of hair is some new thing. Maybe they have a point, I just don't understand it. I also don't understand why they don't allow them to wear it. Have they done any testing to see if it actually does confer any advantages? If they have, why not just say "these caps display a measurable advantage over others"? Finally, even if they do... Can't everyone wear them? It's still a level field as long as all the swimmers can wear the same types of equipment. View Quote Looks like the issue is that there hasn't been testing one way or another. Not sure why it would be such a big deal to cut your hair shorter, though. Lots of swimmers do. |

The caps were barred by FINA on the grounds that to their "best knowledge, the athletes competing at the international events never used, neither require to use, caps of such size and configuration." Your suggestion makes better sense than the reason they gave. Their's seems to be, "because it's never been done before" which sounds more like they're going with "tradition" rather than "physics". |
