Quoted: The little brother TE has signed. I’ve heard that Max wants to be a coach, so maybe that is part of the deal long term. I don’t mind having Max. As this year showed, it’s ok to have a touch more depth at QB. Weigman can redshirt and King/Johnson can fight for the starting position…then if Johnson looses, he would be a solid back up that can be a grad assistant coach once he finishes college View Quote According to 247 sports Jake Johnson has committed (as of this AM) but not signed. |

Quoted: It means nothing. When Deion moves on, so can the kid. View Quote I take it to mean the #1 recruit this year is a corner, and he's going to play for a NFL hall of fame corner turned head coach. He's looking for 1:1 coaching from *the best* person alive coaching his position. Probably also some NIL considerations there as Deon can swing some influence that direction for the kid. ETA: And for Deon, this shows he can pull the highest level of talent. You know for sure his agent is using this *right now* in rebuilding Deon's resume to highlight his recruiting capabilities. Whenever Deon leaves to go to a big name school, this kid can transfer portal and follow Deon. |

Quoted: Our #2 QB (who started all year) is leaving. So we have Hanes King (2021 starter that was injured all year), and a walk on. We have Conner Weigman coming in as a 5*, but Jimbo plays the long game with QB development so I could see him selling Weigman on a red-shirt year to help him develop and limit his on-field risk of injury by guaranteeing him a year to get up to SEC speed. If that's the case, then we need a #2 QB, as our walk on won't cut it in the SEC for anything other than kneeling and handing it off, and even that can be problematic when you have 7 300lb+ DL guys bearing down on you when they know you're just running with no pass option. I wonder how the NIL deals are structed.
Are they tied to staying at the school? Are they a lump sum or installment payments? What is the length of the deal? Monk |

And there have only been 6 #1 overall recruits in history that were a perfect recruiting score. Out of those only two have been QB's. So you only have one person in history you can compare this to: Vince Young. |

I think in 4 years, "shitters full" only got 3-4 five stars.
But in just two weeks, BN, without even having 75% of his staff yet, goes into IMG (THE home of 5 stars, and in our backyard) where UF was previously locked out; and pulls the #1 safety in the class. Holy shit. Then in his presser just now commented on how IMG is going to be their priority. Music to all UF fans ears. Very, very good sign of things to come. |

About 1 in 6 five star recruits go on to be first round picks. About half get to the NFL if I recall correctly. So it’s no guarantee, but the odds are pretty damn good.

He was 90% of a top offense nationally and the stats back it up. He's been a stud in the NFL, and he's even better at the no look pass and everything else.
