He didn't have to give anything.

I'm not going to talk shit about him for donating $25,000.

That's a shitload of money, regardless of what he made last year.

He's not obligated to give anything.

Dwayne, thanks for your contribution. It's appreciated.

He did not have to give anything, it was a generous donation that I am sure is (sure as hell should be) appreciated.

what the fuck?

It may not be much to him, but that's pretty major to me.  It also depends on whom he gave it to.  Red Cross - waste of $$$.

Not exactly a fan of Dewayne Johnson's acting skills, but Hell's bells, he donated almost 2x my yearly salary.

25k is a decent chunk of money. I can't fault him for it. He didn't have to give anything.

I couldn't care less what anyone gives to charity, much less berate them for actually giving.

$25k isn't an insignificant amount, regardless of who you are.

Better there than 95% of the foreign aid going out the window

In this thread I learn that having money and being famous makes one immune from criticism (also a lot of WWE fans here).

I am stepping back from this one, probably was a little to early....

The Rock is under no obligation to donate. $25,000 is more than most celebs will give, indeed, many celebs will donate nothing at all, so let's not pick on Mr. Duane Johnson.

I don't think the rock has personal ties to Texas. It turns out that there are Texas born celebs that have given substantial amounts to the relief effort. Sandra Bullock is giving $$$$$$$$

Oh for fucks sake get over yourself. You donated a larger percent, but so what? Percentages don't buy food and water. $25,000 buys a lot of it.

Op is an idiot. Johnson was called out by another celebrity to donate $25k. The original celebrity donated $25k and is trying to get a bunch of celebrities to donate $25k.
The original guy, can't remember his name, is hoping it will catch on and a lot of celebrities donate $25k each.
They can donate more if they want but the original challenge is $25k.

Fucking hell.

Kevin Hart called Johnson and others out by name and challenged them to donate $25k, and then asked them to do the same and call out others. It was supposed to work like the whole ice bucket challenge things only with celebrities.

This is a retarded thing to fucking complain about. Unfuck yourself.

No, again what you should have learned is that you think just like the left does.  Make more pay more.  He is person just like me, no better or worse.
It has nothing to do with being famous.  Now that it was pointed out to you, once again you show how much the liberal you are by deflection and insults.

Not that explaining it will make this better, but it annoyed me when he basically bragged about giving so little.  I really don't give two fucks about how much anyone gives mainly because I don't ever brag about what I give.  To me donating and volunteering is a very personal thing.  I guess many here have no issue with it given that $25,000 is a lot of money to them.  Therefore they care more about the thought that he gave then him bragging about it.  I get it, I am probably in the wrong for posting what I did but cant fix it now.
