View Quote 11B I might not drink all the cool aid but my first MOS was support and having some 3 years with ARNG infantry which is small potatoes stateside wise I’m still very keenly aware few other MOSs have familiarity with the standards and requirements demanded for infantry personnel. The USAF security personnel {no disrespect} and MPs aren’t even close to performing the same things the infantry does, no offense intended |

I used to think whatever branches made division commander, corps commander represented who was support and who wasn’t but then an officer I served with in Japan who was aviation made division command. The whole feminist bitching about blocking female infantry meant denying promotions argument went out the window barely a few years after opening infantry to women

However I would go to war with any of those guys, a piece of fabric means nothing in combat. They just didn't see a need for Ranger school. For me I went at failed at 27yrs old(failed patrols in mountains). CSM gave me a challenge 11yrs later and a opportunity, so I took it and went back. Not a big deal, I just did what 19-20yr old Ranger regiment kids have done for decades. |
