They have these at HF.

I have used them multiple times.

I find they are extremely handy when taking doors off the hinge. Put it under the far edge of the door and inflate it to kinda hold to door up while you take out the hinge pins. Works extremely well.

I bought this in 1993 and still using it on a regular basis.

Funny story - I bought it when I worked at an auto glass company. Snap-On was having a special. Normally it cost $100 but they were offering it with a free pair of safety glasses - for $105. I told the dealer to skip the special and just sell me the screwdriver. He refused

Now you can get them at Lowe’s for under $20.

Never used/owned a hammer drill and have a couple questions:
1) am I correct that you'd want the impact drill/driver when using it as a driver? Can a hammer drill be used as a driver?
2) what's the advantage of a hammer drill over an impact drill/driver? Drilling in brick/concrete? Does it have any advantages drilling through wood etc.?

Just ordered this from Astro Tools to try out. 3/8" drive in a 1/4" rachet body. Overall length is 14" I think. May be good for close quarters. Part number 93812

Edit: Can't get the picture to work.

A hammer drill works like a jackhammer and can't be used to drive screws without turning off the hammer.
If you ever need holes in concrete or masonry you need a hammer drill.

Lowes sells a Smiths "precision" knife sharpener (near the knives/ drill bits) for $30.

I have 3 different sharpeners, probably cost $75 bucks each, and this damn 30 dollar sharpener blows them away. Seriously sharp edges with minimal effort.

Very highly recommended. Shop around for a better price, and do a little research first. Start with a cheap knife to learn the quirks.

Ah. Thanks. That explains why I've never owned one. Never really did much drilling in concrete/masonry.

Couple years ago, I was installing solar motion activated lights and needed to drill into brick/mortar. All I did was get masonry bits to use with the impact drill/driver and that did the job easily. Only time I can recall drilling into masonry in the past couple decades.

I have a steel set of Grace hook gunsmithing tools. These are one of those things that you never knew you needed, until you needed them and they worked great. Not for cleaning a gun, but more small part manipulation. They are extremely helpful for small fiddly springs.

The first time I used them, they saved me a lot of time striker swapping on a couple FNS guns.

It really depends on the vehicle.  I bought a pair for a specific car, I don't recall which one, and they worked great.  I have several tools for oil filters that worked great for a car, but not others.

I've had one of the small Kreg jig kits sitting untouched in my toolbox for like three years now.  Used it for the first time a couple weeks ago when I needed to throw together a quick shop table, and was like

Ran out the next week and bought a whole assortment of different screws, and now I want one of the upgraded jigs.

My favorites that have been mentioned that I use and like,

Electrical box attachment for oscillation tool, works awesome.
Oscillation tool, see above.
I have M18 stuff, but the M12 compact impact driver is nice.
The cordless Ryobi finish nailer has been great.
Compression connectors and tool for RG6.
Knipex pliers are awesome.

The M12 tools are handy in tight spaces and weigh less so depending on what you're doing they're well worth duplicating tools in M18 vs M12.

I just had to send my barely used less M18 skill saw back.  Warranty work was quick and painless, guess I just got a lemon my other Milwaukee tools have been bullet proof.

We use these all over the house. They use the 18650 batteries that I have too many of. We beat the crap out of them and they light every time.

Long life and blindingly bright. They are great for working on the cars too. The magnet in the base sticks to everything well, great for under the car, stick it to any frame part and fold it to point anywhere.

The surface cleaner uses a rotating arm under it with a spray nozzle on each end of the arm.  It needs 2,000 to 4,000 psi and 1.8 to 3.7 gpm.  The nozzles are replaceable.   The kit comes with extension wands and extra nozzles for around 100 bucks on Amazon.
