Apples and oranges. With a few exceptions those sale items were odd ball models with niche market reticles. But I still enjoyed watching the neckbeards scrambling to buy .50 BMG ACOGs meant for machineguns or TA31s with pink triangle reticles in 6.5x52mm Carcano. It was even funnier to watch them try to sell them in the EE 30 seconds later. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Quoted: the TA33 is probably the best ACOG a guy can buy for his AR. The other models might have more magnification or the extra 200 meters shown on the BDC to take you out to 800, but in terms of speed, light weight, eye relief and cost, the TA33 has them beat. I've had mine since around 2006. They only offered one reticle color at the time, these days I would go for the TA33-GH which has a green horse shoe. Man, I'm convinced that most of GD is made up of FSA. "You mean this company is giving current veterans a discount? Fuck them!" Give me a damn break. ETA: yes, I ask if places offer a mil discount because hey, we're all human and work for a living. But I don't get pissed off when they don't. |

Hell we have some on here. And most are in GD. Hence my post to you. Guess it really tripped your trigger. I don't do that on purpose to Guys I know are Vets. If you note I said I was happy you GWOT Vets got the discount. I ETS'ed a long time before 2001 I own a few ACOG's, want another one also. I'll be able to buy one cheap enough. You'll not see me bitching about a discount given to any Current Military member, Vet, or LEO. Well deserved in my opinion! |

With all the discounts I've learned I qualify for in this thread, I don't think I'll ever have to pay for anything gun related ever again.

I privately purchased the ACOG I carried overseas as there weren't very many in the supply line at the time. I sold it to another soldier who was going over who didn't have the choice of having one issued.
I own numerous Trijicon products and this discount will add to my evergrowing stable. That being said, the discount isn't much lower than the last ACOG I bought during a sale. There are plenty better things to bitch about than a private company offering a discount for a select group of people. |

The funniest thing about this bitch fest is the civilians who want a piece.
