Useful info from a lifelong Richmond native that works for the Va State Gov.
The biggest crowd they have had on the capital grounds that he could remember was 15,000 when the Queen of England was visiting and he said it was completely packed. If we have 30,000 then the crowd will not fit on the grounds. He suggested not to bring the rifles and battle rattle and just look like normal people in normal clothes. His opinion was camo and rifles will not be the right optic for media and might back fire with the general assembly too. I think VCDL is right on this. I am coming with just concealed G19 in normal clothes. He said he has never seen them pass an emergency law and didn't think it is possible to pass a law banning weapons on the grounds before April at the soonest because of the parliamentary procedures required. On a positive note, he said a showing this huge on Lobby day "may" have a positive affect and stop the laws from passing. I will be there. |

Quoted: I'm hoping to get out the CHIRP file shortly. My thought is to have at least a primary and secondary VHF frequency that is in the ham bands. That way, the several thousand Baofengs I expect to be there will be able to get info passed via the Arfcom Information Network (TM). I'm also working on how to implement a Gotenna Mesh network at the event. That would enable text messaging even if the cell network is down. The 1-to-1 chat and 1-to-many chats are encrypted. They also have a "shout" mode that sends to all mesh nodes in range. There is also an Emergency and Emergency beacon mode that you can use to tell all the other mesh users in an area (including via hops) that you're in trouble. Since the Gotenna Mesh app runs on Andoid or Apple, you don't necessarily have to have a phone, just a text messaging app on your device. Or, you can use an unactivated phone, burner phone, etc. to connect to the mesh. I'm setting up the ones I have with random IDs rather than a phone number. I'm planning to have a spreadsheet of the key folks and their random IDs so I know how to text them directly. (And, they'll have the same list.) For those who want to participate in the mesh network, see Gotenna mesh They did have a 30% promotion going on with the coupon code GIFTGOTENNA but I don't know if that's still the case. This should prove to be an interesting test of large-scale, non-cell network comms. ETA: What it is, what it does & how to use it video. BTW, they also offer a 15% military discount. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRIe0fma7wo ETA2: and now I have a use for my burner smart phone after this event, to be a mesh node. For a mesh relay node though, you don't need a phone. You just place the device in relay mode and it will automatically relay anything it receives. eta: you can't use a relay node as a communicator though. It's a stand-alone function. You DO need a phone tethered to a GT to text. each unit also works as a mesh node. The relay function is specific for placing a unit at an elevation like a repeater. |

Seems like the Dems just don't know what to do about the Sanctuary movement
Friday afternoon saw the release of Attorney General Mark Herring’s advisory opinion declaring that Second Amendment Sanctuaries have no legal force of law, and once again stating that any new gun laws will be followed in Second Amendment Sanctuaries.
Herring can say what he wants, but he can’t compel sheriffs and commonwealth’s attorneys (not to mention street cops and deputies) to strictly enforce any law. Herring’s also exhibiting a glaring double standard, given his own refusal to enforce and defend a state law he unilaterally decided was unconstitutional. Herring, a proponent of legalizing marijuana (a position I share with him, for the record), also remained silent when prosecutors across the state decided not to prosecute most marijuana cases, even though he now says prosecutors and police can’t pick and choose which laws to enforce. View Quote As I said on Friday:
In other words, when Herring doesn’t like a law, he doesn’t object to law enforcement using their discretion to not enforce it. If, on the other hand, Herring is in favor of the law, he’ll demand that the law be followed. Herring spouted off about the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement being driven by “the gun lobby,” but the truth is the Left has provided the playbook for Second Amendment supporters across the state. The national gun groups have had virtually nothing to do with the movement, and even Philip Van Cleave of the Virginia Citizens Defense League says his group isn’t leading the movement, and in fact is having a hard time keeping up with the explosive growth in the state. View Quote “It’s mostly grassroots,” he said. “Localities have passed this that weren’t even on our radar. It’s like a grass fire that the grassroots had started and then we went in and threw some more gasoline and a match on it to make it burn even brighter.”
I really don’t think Virginia’s Democrats and gun control groups were expecting this reaction, and I absolutely believe they are scrambling to figure out how best to respond. The tactic so far has been to talk tough and stay vague, as in Herring’s “The law will be enforced (just don’t ask me how)” comment. I suspect that will be the tone they’ll take right up until any of these laws actually take effect. What happens then is anyone’s guess, but Ralph Northam, Mark Herring, anti-gun legislators, and gun control activists are making a devastating mistake by underestimating the resolve of Virginia’s gun owners and many of their elected officials to stand in defense of the free exercise of a constitutionally protected right. I hope it doesn't come down to all that. But, when communist revolutionaries take over, it is ultimately up to us to restore the Constitutional boundaries. In our case, we won't be the rebels, we will be stopping the rebels. The 2nd Amendment doesn't just recognize our God-given right to keep and bear arms, it recognizes our duty to use those arms to enforce the Constitution on those who would try to subvert it. We all pray we never have to literally fight to preserve our freedoms. But, I will NEVER give up my guns. Not now, not July 1st, not ever. Period. These prima donna parasites with delusions of grandeur need to get that thru their microscopic brains. |

Eileen Filler-Corn. This was a 1-on-1, by signup, at that coffee house (coffee was actually pretty good). Just want to say up front, I tried. I was very polite and diplomatic, used several different approaches (NLP) to communicate the issue, the urgency, and the potential outcomes. I spent about 20 minutes with her aide and approximately 6 minutes with Del Filler-Corn. I definitely got the "sir your red light has been on for some time, please finish up" that Ben received as well. Believe me, the message was fully delivered, and received, in the most succint and professional way possible. With great dismay, I'm afraid that diplomacy may no longer have any bearing. They simply do not care. At all. They have zero intention of slowing this down. I had used the voice memo recorder on my phone, but now listening to the playback, the conversation is almost inaudible due to all the ambient noise in the coffee shop. I'll write up play by play here shortly. |

I respectfully disagree. Memes are meant to be shared. They get attention and spread awareness. Check out these gems he made for the VA HTF. A lot of people are overlooking the disgustingly large sums of money that Soros spent to influence local Commonwealths Attorney races. They recognize that the prosecuters hold the real power in enforcing these laws. They have prepared the battlefield. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/270037/Buta_Biberaj_-_loudoun_commonwealth_attorney_-_GREEN_jpg-1212309_JPG_jpg-1213411.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/270037/Descano_Soros_jpg-1213056_JPG_jpg-1213412.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/270037/Hingeley_-_Soros_jpg-1213092_JPG_jpg-1213413.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/270037/Parisa_Dehghani-Tafti_-_SOROS_-_ARLINGTON_jpg-1213061_JPG_jpg-1213414.JPG |

Thank you sir! Ladies and Gents, I just got back from the "Office Hours" with Del. That's almost true with the exception of politicians where talk is exceedingly expensive and for sale to the highest bidder. The time for talk is coming to a close. The time for doing is at hand. Go and talk to these legislators. Go and put up signs. Go find their donor lists and send those donors a clear message. Go look at their financial disclosures (assuming they have such a thing in Virginia). Check their property records to see if they still owe money on their home. Then, contact their lender. Make it abundantly clear to every single one of these knuckleheads that we know who, what, and where they are. Work at the local level for now. Then, on the 20th, they will see exactly the extent of what they are up against statewide. If none of all that gives them pause, then they will own whatever happens next. We can say we tried. We can say we talked. We can say we pleaded. We can say we availed ourselves of every opportunity to persuade them to do the right thing. We can say we warned them in a silent, non-violent, yet powerful way. We can say we turned to the judicial system. We can say we exhausted every single method to prevent these unConstitutional 21st Century Intolerable Acts from being enforced, including 2nd Amendment sanctuaries. If, and only if, all those avenues have been vigorously pursued to no avail, then we will have no choice, and, indeed, a duty, to exercise our 2nd Amendment rights in exactly the way our Founding Fathers envisioned to restore the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. I personnaly don't see it coming to that. But, we need to understand our hand may be forced. |

I used to roll my eyes when people talked about the Soros conspiracy to change America. I'm not anymore. It isn't a conspiracy. They are openly subverting our form of government. I hope the fact that they are so brazen is hubris and not confidence in the outcome. This is much bigger than guns. They just know that our guns are the last line of defense against their desired end-state. Once again, they are preparing the battlefield. View Quote Control the justice system. Control the media. Wait for crime to explode. Wait for kinetic action from Law Abiding Citizens that have had enough. Paint LAC as Domestic Terrorists, give maximum sentences. Paint suspects as disenfranchised, oppressed citizens that are victimized by The System, and thus did nothing wrong. Rinse. Repeat. The only hitch about VA is there's a confluence of crime from both criminal element, and elected officials who are willingly subverting the constitution and law. Interesting times ahead. |

In a nutshell, VA Dems are reaping the results of them selectively enforcing laws in times past. While The WSJ is careful to say they don't condone ignoring laws, they think there is some legitimacy to the claim that the proposed new laws are unConstitutional, and hence, invalid. This is why these people need to have gun owners show up in all the places they frequent. Recruit locally in their inner circle. Their hairdresser, their landscaper, their car mechanic, their cafe server, their HVAC technician, their grocery store, their church members, everywhere they go, they need to have a gun owner come up to them and politely explain that they will be a pariah in their own neighborhood if they support this crap. Put up small signs with their picture on it all around their neighborhood and something about "Gun control is racist" or similar. Then their neighbors will start asking about the signs.
