That's a tough question for me.
I credit the original 1993 Doom with my passion for gaming and computers, which spawned my adult career as a software engineer. That game will always be special for me. Steam tracks hours played, and I'm largely a PC gamer, so those are good hints for worlds I wanted to stay in and keep exploring. #1 - Fallout: New Vegas. I guess the burned out husk of Vegas with the regional conflicts and the vastly improved weapon system over Fallout 3 hooked me. I preferred the main story of Fallout 3, but the world of New Vegas and the expansions was far better crafted. #2 - Stardew Valley. It's a simple yet deep game and pretty damn rewarding. I'm replaying it on my Switch right now and finally getting into the 1.5 content. #3 - Skyrim. The world sizes kept getting smaller in square miles/kilometers but vastly more detailed. Similarly to New Vegas, there are elements of Oblivion that I preferred but overall Skyrim was better. Honorable Mention - the STALKER series. I loved the gritty otherworldly nature of the games and spent a lot of time exploring them and building mods. Unfortunately, the replay is somewhat limited given the more linear nature of the games. Honorable Mention II - Subnautica. The entire premise of being the sole survivor of a crash on an ocean world, trying to figure out WTF was going on and how to escape was amazing. The underwater world was so different and such an awesome experience. Below Zero "officially" release this month and I'm so excited. |

Chrono Trigger - Intro (SNES) [HD] |

Quoted: I have to go with Skyrim. It's the only modem game that I have the desire to do multiple playthroughs and with mods it looks pretty damn good for 2021. I've probably done 6 playthroughs since it launched and I still find new things with each playthrough. The depth of this game is crazy and the way you can approach the game has multiple angles. My most challenging was a mage build where I only used magic and staffs. View Quote Diablo 2 |

Stronghold Crusader Extreme, if I was stuck with one game for the rest of my life.

Quoted: My character made full use of magic, potions, enchanting, and staffs. I was a power mage. You are right, it wad incredibly hard. It's the only playthrough I never finished. Magic is terribly underpowered in Skyrim. My very first Elder Scrolls playthrough was Morrowind and I played as a Kajit sneak/thief. View Quote I miss the way the Oblivion spell creation was. I have read that they will be going back to that of spell creation in the next elder scrolls game. It could be a rumor of course. |

Diablo 2
Played from ago 13 to 23. Sold my account for over a thousand dollars when I quit. Kind of wish I would have kept it but haven’t had time to play video games in years. |

By the end of that game my dude had everything "of the heavens" and I had a field of gold in town. |

Hard to say
Generally I love Super Mario World and Resident Evil 4. The whole Dark Souls series. Also Crystalis. Basically I can’t pick one. |
|
World of tanks is my current favorite.
Other than that, metal gear solid and river city ransom top my list. |

I loved skyrim and Oblivion. I traded in my PS4 for gamestop credit for a PS5 and can't get one with all the scalpers and I have been missing Minecraft and Farming Simulator 19, LOL.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 multiplayer is up there too. it was so damn good, no microtransactions, weapon unlocks were realistic and not super grindy, really good maps, balanced gameplay, awesome structure destruction, very very few cheaters. All around probably my favorite multiplayer experience.

The entire Half-Life series. I still play through from HL1 to HL2E2 once a year or so.
Counter-Strike is another favorite. I played that at a very high level for a long time (I miss CAL ) and still play it just about every night. I realized recently I've been playing some form of CS for over 20 years. The Doom series is also up there. Doom Eternal is the best pure first person shooter of all time. Horizon Zero Dawn is another entry. Especially with the DLC. Fantastic setting, fantastic story, fantastic graphics (for the time), the list goes on and on. Really excited to see what they do with the sequel later this year. God of War 2018 - can't forget that one. The entire game is one shot, no loading screens at all, which still blows me away. Incredible graphics, a combat system that feels like it should, a perfect blend of some RPG influences while maintaining an action-adventure feel. Metal Gear Solid series - everyone hates on it for being "over the top" but that's exactly what I want! You mean I get to fight a giant nuclear robot with a P90 and a sword!? I'm in! The Witcher 3, Hollow Knight, Breath of the Wild, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3...the list goes on and on. |

Doom, but on the original Playstation.
They replaced the shitty soundtrack with some creepy dark ambient. Anyone play this back in the day? Wish they would re-release this version. Oh, MediEvil 1 and 2 on the PS1, Bionic Commando on the NES, and Strider arcade version. |
|
Skyrim and Witcher are amazing games.
My favorite would be Company of Heroes 2. |
|
Radio Shack's version of Othello for their Color Computer, "Roman Checkers".
Roman Checkers for the TRS-80 CoCo I've tried the modern versions of it and they're just not as much fun. |
